Not up on RSS? Check out this explainer.
(direct link to .mov or .wmv file).

Which RSS feed will best suit your needs? Below each feed, we give a run down of the details with explanations of intended use. In most cases, it is a matter of preferred file type. Once you determine which feed is right for you, copy and past the red URL into your aggregator.

RSS 2.0 .mov Bittorrent file enclosures:
http://download.movedigital.com/rss/rocketboom/p2p.xml
This is our bittorrent peer-to-peer option. For most people, this is not the most streamlined, practical way to experience Rocketboom on a daily basis during these early stages in the new technology, however, it is the most efficient, theoretically, and we promote this option because it lowers our bandwidth cost while increasing the download speed for you. Using RSS with Bittorent is a perfect match because most of the file downloads happen around the same time. Azureus works well by fetching Rocketboom to your computer each day in the background through bittorrent. The file enclosure in this feed includes the .mov file that is often as large as any file we offer, sometime 640x480 and typically with the highest bit rate (the sharpest, cleanest looking file). What aggregator do you use to seed torrents via RSS? Let us know!

RSS 2.0 with optimal file enclosures:
http://www.rocketboom.com/vlog/index.xml
This is our main Rocketboom feed which will usually be the most assured option for text or video aggregators. This feed is always updated to include the latest 15 days, the full text of each post including direct links to additional (discussed) media and will always include an enclosure type determined to be the best available (our recommendation) for most people. The enclosure includes a 16:9 widescreen 470x280 progressive .mov file with mpeg4 compatible video compression (3ivx) and ACC compatible audio. The .mov file is typically embedded with hyperlinks and chapter markers.

RSS 2.0 with .mov file enclosures:
http://www.rocketboom.com/vlog/quicktime_daily_enclosures.xml
This feed is currently exactly the same as the above index.xml feed. In the near future, this feed will migrate to a .mov file that uses .H264 compression while the index.xml above will stay with the .mov mpeg4 compatible compression. As with the index.xml file, this feed is always updated to include the latest 15 days, the full text of each post including direct links to additional (discussed) media and will always include an enclosure type determined to be the best available (our recommendation) for most people. The enclosure includes a 16:9 widescreen 470x280 progressive .mov file with mpeg4 compatible video compression (3ivx) and ACC compatible audio. The .mov file is typically embedded with hyperlinks and chapter markers. [For a limited time, if you would like to d/l the entire collection of .mov files (the whole archive), you can use http://www.rocketboom.com/vlog/index_qt_all.xml ]

RSS 2.0 with .mov file enclosures for iTunes (i.e. video ipod):
http://www.rocketboom.com/vlog/quicktime_daily_enclosures_itunes.xml
If you enjoy the video iPod or other portable devices that use a 320x240 screen, this is the feed for you. This feed contains a 3:4 formated 320x240 .mov file with mpeg4 compatible video compression (3ivx) and ACC compatible audio. With special iTunes RSS specifications, this feed is customized to work best with the iTunes software. If iTunes has an update, this feed will update first to reflect the change. With your iPod hooked up to your computer and iTunes set to automatically d/l new videos from us, you can always get the latest Rocketboom video on your iPod without having to do anything at all with this feed.

#5
RSS 2.0 with .wmv file enclosures for Windows Media Player:

http://www.rocketboom.com/vlog/win_media_player_daily_enclosures.xml
If for some reason you just don't like Quicktime or if perhaps you do not have the authority to install the latest version (because you may be at work or a cafe), but you can play .wmv Windows Media Files, then consider this feed. The enclosure includes a 16:9 widescreen 470x280 progressive .wmv file with Windows Media 9 audio and video compression.

#6
Sony psp xml:

http://www.rocketboom.com/vlog/psp_daily_enclosures.xml This feed contains an MP4 files created in H264 made specifically for the PSP. Because the PSP requires an unusual file naming system, most users who use unsophisticated aggregators will be required to rename each file to a M4Vxxxxx.mp4 case-sensitive naming system where x is a unique number with exactly 5 places/digits.

Telephone 3gp xml:

http://www.rocketboom.com/vlog/tele_daily_enclosures.xml
We have not heard of anyone using the telephone RSS enclosure feed effectively so if you have, let us know what software you are using. It must be great to be you. Otherwise this is a good feed for people who would like to get Rocketboom on quicktime but live so far away from hi-speeds that it takes hours upon hours to d/l. The 3gp file in this enclosure is a horrible, 5 frames per second with terrible audio quality though it's enough to get the point at a fraction of the regular quicktime daily file size.
