Just watching those guys swinging those automatic weapons around made me cringe. Apparently weapons trainign is not a pre-req for that job.
The video raises a very interesting question about the motivation of the posses, but never really tries to answer it. (Fear not, I'm headed to the AIB site to learn more.)
By the way, these vids may not generate as many comments as the ones where we can make silly dorm jokes or post links to our favorite youtube guitar solos. But I am grateful for them. They make me stop and think about something new for a few minutes.
Now, I am sure most of you all are big libs, but in the REAL world what we can do now is establish a situation by which the Iraqis themselves take over the running and security of THEIR country. It is a noble thing our troops are doing. If it's tough and not so pretty, you don't just give up and run. In Germany after WWII there were tough times too, but with time and not giving up, we have a stable peaceful strong Germany. Hey our troops are still there aren't they? --Proud to be an American!
Big lib that I am, I want to see some legit goals, not this "defeat of evil" crap our presaident has bveen selling.
And when exactly do you think the Iraqis will be ready to "take over the rubnning"? I'm guessing 100 years from now, if we're lucky.
WWII is a less apt example than Vietnam, where "they" won and Nike has factories now. Only the Viets were less likely to revenge blood fueds started in the 1300s.
Sorry for all the typos. I've been into kam's suitcase and I'm strung out from driving Mike Dixon's rig for four days straight. And these damn Brussels sprouts are making me crazy.
So these 5 gun toting guys invite the young punks of the area to join a secret cell & go kill a bunch of other gun toting gangs, this def wouldn't fly in the USA would it?
And this, my friends, looks just like the start of paramilitarism in my country, Colombia.
This might look like a good thing to a lot of people (after all, they are killing the bad guys), but I assure you that in 5 years you will need a new group like this guys to kill them, and it will become a vicious cycle full of violence. Just like in Colombia.
Just take a look at our history and you will find no good in this.
