    Banjogate,
first generation products are usually expensive due to the cost of research and development. Give it time and the costs will go down.

If you watch closely at 0:14 it looks like she just realized how hot she is but she maintains professionalism barely.

I bet during the segment she cant to wait to get home, put her hair in a bun and take a long bath with some candles, bubbles and lavendelscented soap. She’s gonna put on the song “ramblin’ (wo)man” by “Cat Power” today.

Ooooh those achin bones… Let wimax-nerds be wimax-nerds out there. Fuck ‘em.

    1. From Andrew’s blog, “Intel & Rocketboom Team up for ‘Rocketboom Tech’”
      http://dembot.com/post/96903882/intel-rocketboom-team-up-for-rocketboom-tech

The whole blog is a pretty transparent disclosure of how Intel is partnering with Rocketboom for the Tech show, but here’s the key:
“We are certainly not just going to talk about intel stuff. On the contrary, we’re focusing resources and brain power on finding interesting stories about innovation and how people are using technology in interesting ways. The best story idea each week wins and becomes a segment. In fact, nevertheless, Rocketboom remains in complete control of the editorial and decides what we will do for each episode.”

It’s good for Intel, it’s good for Rocketboom, and it’s not like Rocketboom is just going to say whatever Intel wants.

perhaps she was asking about the speed of WiMax but the idiot guy at Intel thought she was asking about the Smart car. Hence the sarcastic “ok” she gives after his answer.

that’s what i like to think.

  54. I’m saving up for an upgrade from G5 powerMac to an Intel-based, Quad-core, high-powered, wham-bam-slam, beast-of-the-beasts Mac, featuring the next generation architecture Intel Xeon “Nehalem” processor. Its single-die, 64-bit architecture makes 8MB of fully shared L3 cache readily available to each of the four processor cores. The result is fast access to cache data and greater application performance. Combine that with the other technological advances and you get a Mac Pro that’s up to 1.9x faster than the previous generation.

Oh sorry, I got carried away with the moment. Just want to know: what is the life-span of a ‘generation’ today in the world of chips? And will WiMax have succeeding generations, too? Should a municipality wait for the better, fresher generation to issue forth, as in the earlier days of PC’s i.e. 286, 386, Pentium75, Pentium133, PentiumII, et cetera…or take the plunge like Intel’s neighbor, Portland, did?

And that interviewer! What a sexy babe! She (elspeth, a variant of elizabeth, I think) truly radiates out her own special and appealing (self-assured; content with herself; happy) spectrum of connective radio waves to us tech-heads in RB’s overall (and sometimes over-critical) audience out here! Bravo!
