On Friday, November 12th, the Rocketboom network premiered the scripted, 10-part web series “Save the Date,” as part of the Rocketboom Filmmakers Program.

The series takes place in real-time, following the social media mishaps among a group of friends moments before two of them update their relationship status from engaged to married. The situational comedy exposes the misunderstandings that can occur when we rely on technology for facts, and when being too web-connected can interfere with rational thinking. Shot over three days in New York City with a cast and crew of local talent, including Rocketboom Daily host Molly, Save the Date is Rocketboom’s first co-produced narrative series.
