So it’s all HIS FAULT!!! Grrr.
Oh and another thing… “Uu Vv Ww Xx Ww Zz”?
If I see that guy on the street, I will walk up and threaten him. His font makes my eyes bleed on a more-than-weekly basis. And I don’t care if he’s a cute lil swiss or german or dutch man with a cute story of him copying the archie comics, I’ll still chase him down the street.
Why no Y?
So how come Ww gets to be listed twice?
It’s already a double u (and it impersonates a double v) and now you give it double spot, throwing out our beloved Y.
Please save the Y. Y does so much work for us (Sometimes a vowel, sometimes not). It has such a dignified pedigree, descended from the noble Greek Upsilon, and thought to be a cousin of Hebrew Vav and Arabic Waw.
Yet still, even in this day, is persecuted and banished in other languages’ alphabets. And now we do the same?
It’s an Obamanation that this kind of prejudice still goes on in our language today.
Comic sans is definitely NOT the greatest font of all time.
It has Its uses, bit it cant be universal.
Personally,I’m HELVETICA all the way!
It’s the world’s most universal font.
The music was too loud in the mix in my opinion.
Also, this guys seems nice I would not do this to him.

Nice vid. And I’ve always wanted to do this…FIRST!
great video
He must need Body guards at all times because of all the people that want to kill him XD
OMG! They for got the “Yy” at the end….ok so it’s not a big deal….but still.
This man is the scourge of the font industry.
Also, you’re missing a Yy.
OMG QC *die*
Watchmen is comicsans..wow I am connected to this…comic sans was my first msn pic back in 1998.
comic sans to so famous that i dont use it anymore
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Comic Sans FTW!!!
it is to me, something tells me they are going to be commented about this numerous times.
You know the vowels are A-E-I-O-U and sometimes… W.
Questionable Content!
I love Comic Sans… even if I can’t use it everytime for my own things, I love to have opportunity to do that. It’s very freedom suggesting font.
anyway I consider CS being kind of revolution. guess why. noone likes it :) it means children love it, this I can guess just without any doubt, but everytime I ever suggested someone to use it, he refused… I feel this design to be step to typewriter and step and sniff to hand writing … but it seems, in final, happily, not comic for me (b. name is pft.), and probably people love to be formal to ice, so they feel “stupid” to express leeway. I like lucida and consolas also, but comics RLZ
FAIL
I HATE COMIC SANS.
Graphic Designers are pretentious fucks. I should know, I am one.
I want news. with joanne. now!
Aa Bb Cc Dd Ee Ff Gg Hh Ii Jj Kk Ll Mm Nn Oo Pp Qq Rr Ss Tt Uu Vv Ww Xx Ww Zz ???????????/ WTF i did not know the alphabet had 27 letters
[...] Comic Sans‘ı tasarlayan Vincent Connare, bu fontun ortaya çıkış hikayesini anlatıyor. [...]
2:27 EPIC FAIL.
yeah i feel a little like that, and im gonna be an graphic designer . im not even one yet!
Yea, Microsoft is good at stealing ideas from everyone else.
Aa Bb Cc Dd Ee Ff Gg Hh Ii Jj Kk Ll Mm Nn Oo Pp Qq Rr Ss Tt Uu Vv Ww Xx Ww Zz……. does anyone else see a problem with this?
It’s called Comic Sans alphabet.
So many companies have their logos in standard Microsoft fionts. It’s a good game to play if you’re on a long drive - as the trucks drive past, you have to be the first to say which font the logo is in :D
Comic comment: Helvetica walks into a bar. Bartender says, “We don’t serve your type — leave now, or I’ll call the serif.”
Too bad that for font creation there aren’t similar agencies to ones, say for example, for music publishers and songwriters like the Harry Fox Agency or ASCAP to collect royalties. Or are there? This guy could be much richer. But, alas, Microsoft probably owns those font rights anyway, right?
By the way, my new font collection, due out next spring, will be called Gothic Surprise: the light weight normal font will closely resemble Sans-serif typeface, but when you italicize, the letters will suddenly have a flowing, lace-like flare shooting from the top of each and connecting into the sentence above. And when you heavy-weight bold, the entire word will crash to the bottom of the paragraph, inserting itself somewhere into that last sentence. And if you try to blockquote a section, it will turn your paragraph into a clickable mouseover ASCII art image of Daffy Duck with the hyperlink leading to a random Wikipedia entry. I’m still waiting on the permission from LoonyTunes for the Daffy use; and I’ll announce the release date right here in the comics section! ciao-ciao, y’all.
my favorite font…love the story…
Where’s the Y’s ?
Comics Sans doesn’t have a Y.
never used comic sans in my life
It’s just a font, people. No reason for violence.
Now Windows 95 and Bob, on the other hand….
I remembr watching people line up at computer stores the night before Windows 95 was to be released. I doubt that will ever happen again. We have too many collective scars from Bill Gates’ Crap in Progress Mode of Release to celebrate like that again.
And for those who have not read it: “Watchmen” is probably the best graphic novel I have ever read. Alan Moore is a sick, sick man but in a very clever way. I had no idea the lettering inspired that goofy font.
Anxiously awaiting the movie on 3/6, now that it appears the various rights issues have been resolved. I keep thinking it has to suck, but the trailers have knocked my socks off.
No, enlighten us.
I love the comic book aspect. And use like that all the time.
Watchmen ftw!
lol.
I both hate and love this font. It’s a good font, but obviously overused
OH YEA’ WELL VERANDA KIX YER’ AZZ PUNK! =) I like my stuff packed nice n’ tight - it’s like a big screen 4 FREEE! =D Can’t beat that deal with a stick, Buckwheat.
Oh also fiddle down the DPI in yer’ OS - trick #2! Don’t have 2 have zilliionXkajillion res 2 pack lotsa’ text in there. TWEAK THE DEFAULT FONT/DPI 2!
