It’s amazing to think that nowadays one person can be seen by over a billion people in just a few hours. When just a couple hundred years ago, it would take days for a letter to reach it’s destination.

For cross country trips, you’d have to go back no further than 1860, when the Pony Express was founded. And even then, you’re looking at 10 days, minimum. Before then, it was months for cross country communications. So it really is a marvel that you can talk face-to-face with people on the other side of the world now.

Well done. I have never seen such work. Is Obama king of Australia, or this is located in Siberia? Probably he is some communist, or alien masked as communist? Be really aware of aliens, since they have great flotelles and after victory they don’t take slaves.

The Twelve Days of Obama: On the first day of Obama, He closed Guantanamo Bay And salary cuts for state. On the second day of Obama, He stopped the war in Iraq, Two new state secretaries, And salary cuts for state. On the third day of Obama, He fixed economy, He saved three banks, Two new state secretaries, And salary cuts for state. On the fourth day of Obama, He solved the health system, … (to continue video) I think he is wonderful.

SO IS OBAMA but so many think he will bring world peace, and bring right from wrong feed millions. No christ NO Obama

    1. Nobody really thinks Barack is going to bring world peace. We just know he will try harder than anyone in the warmongering Republican party.

And the only people who see Barack as the messiah are the Sean Hannity types who are still bitter for unsuccessfully giving up their values and morals to convince people that W. was a good President.

And as an Obama supporter, I hope people scrutinize Obama’s decisions because the things Bush got away with post-9/11 even impressed Putin and Fidel.

I tried half a dozen mainstream media outlets online and could not get a feed of the swearing-in that didn’t freeze up or demand I first watch an ad for Audi or, worse yet, “Paul Blart, Mall Cop.” (Way to stay classy, old-media moguls.)

I finally found a relatively stable and ad-free feed.

    C-SPAN?

    No.

    Al-Jazeera.

Later I sat down with a couple hundred of my close friends and watched the whole thing again anyways.

Maybe the Internets will get it right in 2012.

Then I went home and did something I have rarely managed since 2000: I drifted peacefully to sleep.

I am no starry-eyed dreamer who thinks Barack will fix it all this week. I know the enormity of the challenges he faces and I know how many skunks there are in DC and elsewhere who will stand in his way at every turn, just because. Rush already has ordered his minions to make Obama fail, whatever the cost. (Um, wasn’t that treason last week?)

But as someone once said, I am at peace because there is one less moron with his finger on the button.

Hey, Chuck O., any chance you’ll be re-visiting your old friends who think Obama’s a Mooslim furriner? I would love to sit at their kitchen table and hear what they are telling themselves these days.

Kam, B, tyco, mike, C-C, Drew, JC, et al: Happy New Age.

(Now if we could just get rid of these annoying little tubers….)

And a Happy New Age to you too my good virtual friend! No, it won’t all be done in a day, a week or even a month, possibly not even this year but I don’t think that matters so much because Obama has already cleared his biggest hurdle so far and that was to instill hope on the people. That he blanketed the globe with his words and not just the USA make them (and him) all the more powerful. Now people will actually take it upon themselves to contribute to the greater effort whereas in times past, after listening to GWB, people just went to sleep. I imagine this is what GWB wanted at the time so that he could pander unhindered to his elitist cronies. I think we’re (well, America is) in for a long overdue change.

As Kam mentioned yesterday; spending the Kenyan GDP for Granny’s Gates was a bit overdone though as any evildoers could easily nab her regardless but sitting on the porch with a 12-Gauge on her lap just isn’t as classy as how the President may want his Grandmother portrayed!

Just picturing her in a rocking chair sipping some exotic Afrodrink with a chrome pump 12G is a funny sight but no, I said hire some guys to sit on the porch w/AK 47’s & the perimeter walkers carry the shotguns. This is how dumb I think this is. Granny ain’t even gonna’ be there, she’s kickin’ back in a wing of the White House baby sitting the kids for the next 4 years!
