Hey, I get it: Tomt is I’s metaphorical alter-ego!, in an isolated land filled with dyadic, yet distant, others. And the off-season beach and boardwalk is barren but bland. Imagine that.
Years ago, I moved to New Orleans with my friend Jim. It was just like this vid. The best part was leaving there for California. But…who cares?

Or maybe it’s just a clip about Shlebhian writing home to his mother describing his first months in England with his brother Tomt. England is not quite what they had expected and Shlebhian writes of his difficulty in adjusting to British life and isolation in a new culture.

mike_dixor & C-C & the protagonist is writing to his mother whom he has left with a disillusioned tone that is replaced by feeble hope when he says “I have met” a women who dislikes his face. He ends wondering about how his father did it. Very common themes in the realms of geekdom, whether allegorical or forthright, facetious or serious. I think this is the personal frontier that many young people today find themselves on, an isolated one. Maybe someday there will be something equivalent to a Vets Club for those who never socialized successfully.

i think its a brilliant *short* film. 2 people turning up somewhere and realizing its terrible, what do you want from 3minutes clash of the titans or another short horror with a predictable catch.

i can see the obvious stereotype but racist? i think the only political comment (if you can call it that) made here is that England is a bit shit, and London is full of wankers.
