That was awesome! But do the Americans even get the joke? Do they even know who Peter Kay is?
A couple of footnotes.
The original file was larger than the one here. I think it was about 50MB. There were so many copies working their way round the Ministry of Defence that the mail servers may have ground to a halt. But that would be secret - so we’ll never know!
The central figure in the film is a senior NCO. There was a rumour that he was officially commended by his Commanding Officer for his morale boosting activities with this.
Did everyone notice the AK47? This is not “standard issue” in the British Army. The other weapons shown are what is used. Perhaps the Kalashnikov was acquired during military operations…
I really enjoyed this video, but then after I watched the Peter Kay version for the first time, I enjoyed it even more.
