    I too thought the Starbucks mermaid looked familiar….

    It’s not the tides that draw them to Coney Island, BTW. It’s the Nathan’s hot dogs.

    I had the pleasure of attending the Mermaid Parade a few years ago! It was a great time, and they even had biker mermaids, and punk mermaids! (but no topless Joanne mermaid!) :(
