Washington gets my vote. He was a butt-kicking front-line general who refused appointment for life, saying that the very idea wounded him. And he basically made up the role of president, for which I give him extra points.
Bush the Younger was never a fighter pilot. His daddy hooked him up with a Champagne Unit in the Guard with specific orders to train him on an aircraft that was obsolete and would never see combat. It was about the 30th time that Daddy greased Junior’s skids– though not the last. And he has screwed it up every time. I’m counting the days.
