What is the US or even the UN doing about this crisis? Are they pushing for diplomatic sanctions? Are they considering deploying UN troops?
Where does this stand in today\’s current primary run in the US? Is it mentioned? What do would be presidential candidates say?
I\’m not really sure how to feel. Is the president still allowing gas flaring and causing great harm to those local people? How is the economy? I understand that the people of Kenya can\’t even buy a loaf of bread due to the cost of inflation. This is all very crazy!
PS. Looking forward to the 6pm EST update.
haven\’t watched in a while - enjoyed the show. watching reminds me why i\’m so grateful for my life in the U.S. we have it so good!
i just read this interesting story on the situation about a US family visiting in Kenya:

Hey, You know I get back from a two day road trip, and finally settle down in
front of computer, and than come to grips with the astonishing contrast of
emotions that RocketBoom can evoke: yesterday\’s cool and funny dramalogue-ish
adventure through my weary mind (I\’m too tired right now to watch one more time
before getting some sleep (and I\’ll probably dream that Ramona Flowers will
acquiesce, (can this be real?))).
Then, in stark dis-similitude, I view today\’s RB, and I cringe and shudder at
the peripeteia that these Kenyan people are up against. To be driven away
by others whom feel they have had something (the election) stolen from them;
and to have loved ones murdered as a result! Deplorable.
Kofi Anan!!! Good luck with that slime bucket.
Where are the UN watchdog groups?
Oh, there\’s a party somewhere in NYC tonight. Sorry, I forgot.
