Great Apple rumor reference. Is it going to be the MacBook Air? Ooooh!
[odd]
Also if facial expression of the political candidates is important to potential voters then attractiveness would be too. In that case if you ran I would consider voting for you but I\’d have to hear your platform first. Then I\’d remain undecided until you did something super cool. Oh wait, you\’ve already done super cool stuff - like hosting Rocketboom, being on NPR, MTV, and other awesomeness.
Hmm… Can we see your platform? Your planks?
Move over Colbert, Joanne for President! [/odd]
Refreshing to see the first poster writing something intelligent; as opposed to \”First\”. I like your use of the [odd] tag. I use [sarcasm] myself because some people just don\’t get it!
Just so we are clear on this, it is in NO WAY meant to be demeaning to Joanne: I\’m sure if we did nothing more than put out some posters and put Joanne on a ballot she would actually get some votes based just on the association factor.
Joanne for president! she\’s got my vote
Nice catch on that tome! Have you been pumping those biceps? I couldn\’t find that thought anywhere in my PHP & MySQL book though! What page were you on?!
Don\’t go morphing on us now or I won\’t have any more vblogs to watch.
Great show!
Joanne, I had no idea your finger was so big.
I don\’t know why they are excited about the double \”Einstein ring.\” Like you said, the odds are one in ten-thousand. Given the equipment of the last century, astronomical efforts of observation throughout the globe, and all the mind bending stuff that has been found, it actually seems a little overdue.
Timothy Leary might have been better off studying astronomical images.
Now that galactic cluster that flashed by later in the episode, I believe it was used as a gravitation lens. Its cumulative gravity field is strong enough to bend light, like a lens in this case. It became a deep-space, telescopic assist in seeing this fictional place they are calling the edge of the Universe.
I find that noteworthy.
There should be some tiny, blurry, red-shifted objects toward the center. They are suppose to be the first bits of the Universe from the moment of creation. The smeared , curved objects around the center would be distorted light from the \”lens.\”
I\’m skeptical about humankind\’s attempt to extend definition to \”the edge of the Universe\” but they would sure be interesting places to visit. And I definitely am not signed up with Hawkins, much as I like listening to him try to make sense of things.
Getting there might involve meditation, short of time travel that is. Of course, that gravitational lens might help with the time travel too, if only it were in the neighborhood.
Riding a subatomic particle that can be in two places at once or can travel faster than the speed of light, but not at the same time, might work. Likely that would take even more figuring out though.
If that is Howard Rheingold morphing into Bill, who is morphing into Hillary?
Today’s episode was incredible, supercharged, full of vim and vigor… and..and…and… with Joanne’s super energetic light aura at the helm receiving an extra boost from Einstein’s Double Ring (soon available as a ringtone on iPhone) I thought I’d share something with all of you RBers….even you anti-RBers…feel the love. Joanne for President? Bad, bad idea. WE like you just the way you are…here at Rocketboom.

(move cursor downwards — take as much as you like)
It’s funny after it runs out you can roll it back up using the mouse. Then the paper comes back!
On my Mac, as soon as you let go of the cursor, it rolls back all by itself.
Free toilet paper and I don\’t even get \”one\” +
Where is everybody….zzzzz…..???
I remember reading somewhere in the Rocketboom blogosphere that we were going to be able to watch RB on TV soon. Now MacWorld Keynote announcement regarding the new AppleTV… Is that what you meant? Or something more?
I’m down on my knees…I’m begging please…Layla.
Hey Mr. Minus, that is the album cover containing the original song “Layla” by Eric Clapton and his group at the time known as Derrick & The Dominos. And those are the lyrics…bud.
haha
Aw shucks

I don\’t know about you guys
but I really don\’t like where
technology is taking us.
If I ever found out an employer
was watching my every move
and monitoring every breath I take, I\’d tell him to \”piss off\”
(only The Queen\’s language will do in this case)
so quickly it would cause the water cooler to explode
in a major tsunami.

Again, I don\’t know about you, but I didn\’t sign up
to live in a Big Smother World.
Nothing to wake up the day like a little Santana.
