It looks as if there is minimal coverage today (only a few hours ago) on some MSM sites.
Did you see the “Ice Truck” that was sent for possible surveillance? That was classic.
This too quoted from USA Today blog section:
“ABC News has a statement from the church: “‘Anonymous’ is perpetrating religious hate crimes against Churches of Scientology and individual Scientologists for no reason other than religious bigotry.”"
Is it really no other reason than bigotry? Is it making a statement against greed and power? I do not think this is out of bigotry but rather against wealth and power that is associated with Scientology.
Scientology has a clear policy on SP’s (”Suppressive Persons”) Throw dirt on these people; if you find no dirt to throw, make something up. Usually, when they have a target to attack, lies and deception is a piece of cake. However, in the case of Anonymous, there is no leader, not even under an alias. Heck, they’ll have a hard time finding the name of even single individuals. I guess they’re mighty confused as we speak. And that is probably the reason why they didn’t come with anything btter than calling the group as a whole for “religious bigots”.

How come the video is in higher resolution on your page (and in stereo?) while it is duplicated in youtube at a worse quality?
Scientology…hmm…doesn’t smell fresh: they used to certify as mentally ill their opponents, since many of the self-important, elitist cult were doctors…
AND! How come people are not revolting against the BAD TASTE of everything they do: collours, “style”, everything…it’s just so sickening…one can’t come up with such crap even if they tried on purpose!
The simple reason for this is that youtube only supports lo-res/mono sound. Why RB upload their videos there is a whole other story, but the YT videos are popular despite the quality. (This of course because there’s another audience discovering them)
…What will be next for Anonymous? Who will emerge next?

So we have a new enemy. Okay. Great. Another boggeyman.
I actually think the net effect of scientology on the current state of affairs is like a negative 50. It feels to me as if Rocketboom (and trust me, I think Tom C is moron) is projecting some kind of extreme, general anxiety, as are the silly protesters captured in this vlog, onto the big, evil Scientologists. The Pod people!
Really. Don’t you have something more interesting to do? Or is this just some tabloid, big print way of grabbing our attention and expelling your fears?
Hmmmm…let’s see, there’s a recession, a war, still no healthcare, a woman vs. black man Presidential nomination battle, the sub-prime mess, the impending credit card debacle (everyone’s maxed out), unbalanced budget, the dollar is below sea level, America’s loss of standing in the world, a social security system headed for bust…and…..

This is high anxiety projected upon a completely superfluous force in America. Examine the anxiety. It would certainly be more interesting than this National Enquirer presentation.
Frankly I think that a change of pace is great. If I want to hear or read about some of the stuff you mentioned I would queue into NPR Talk of the Nation and I would get all of the perspective that I could handle for a day.
I do agree that I would love to see the talented team and beautiful Joanne cover some of the topics that you have mentioned… sometimes I come here just for the uplifting lighter side of the news.

Joanne and Drew, can we check out healthcare next? I haven’t had healthcare, as a contract employee, for a few years now. An affordable doctors visit would be great - what’s new in the universal healthcare arena?
Is Google considering moving into the healthcare management arena to apply their analytics and predictive BI to show us when we are going to get sick and then make it cheaper for the doctors and the providers? Whatever happened to Google and MS getting into this arena?
Do you see what happens “old man”? It gets too… old… too quick. :/

did you change the lighting setup? I like.
Interesting story about Youtube and Digg. Youtube has frozen the view counters for nearly all videos related to this story. (This is blatantly obvious on some videos where the number of comments and ratings vastly exceed the number of views.)
In addition when “Ipower” spread the news on Digg, Digg removed the story from “Upcoming Stories”.
