Bowie is geat (I saw him at the LA Forum in the 80\’s (China Girl, et cetera)), but still: \’real\’ and \’old-school\’ are two differing states of mind these days, aren\’t they?
Old school? Bowie\’s music will live on long after the Britney\’s and Beyoncé\’ s and Rap T in you face artists of the past decade point zero 5…stuff that has no melody and nothing you can sing along with. All beat-no substance.
The Bowie song above is over 35 years old. Name me one artist today people will be listening to 30 years from now….???
REAL to me means timeless.
If you go thru Bowie\’s discography until the 90s, it was pure genius. Afterwards he just began imitating his older music…. shame….
