I used to have friends. Then I got an Internet connection, later started working from home in the communications field, and it all kind of went downhill from there; sniff. Social networks? Just where does the \’social\’ aspect come in? Is sending an IM, writing an email or posting a comment the \’new social\’?

Hello - I enjoy watching Rocketboom and find it both insightful and clever, but I am getting a little tired of half the show being about what rocketboom is. It feels like an advertisement. Is that due to a change in ownership?
Hi Dejiridoo, RB is much less self-referential than it used to be. The reason why we brought all this stuff up is because we get so many requests, its as if people are not aware. Its funny how many people I talk to that dont even know this comment page exists.
If they watch RB in iTunes in splendiferous 24\” iMac glory as I do, there are no links shown & no comments link, so I have to go directly to RB dot com if I wanna comment but who can pass up watching Joanne on the big screen,… not me!

@leron- I believe it\’s due, in part, to the new web tool Rockeboom is using in the comments. This Meebo chat allows others to get immediate gratification out of commenting in the chat rather than in the comments, thus, taking away from the volume in the comments section.
Let \’em chat. When anthropologists go back to reconstruct the Early Web Era, it will be the comments they turn to.
