Motion capture in 3D is very difficult. It usually requires many cameras, and many dots.
Anyone interested in writing real computer vision applications should check out OpenCV.
That optical camouflage is currently also being achieved with materials which possess a negative refraction value, which basically means they reflect the light behind them. Some of the cloaks you can see on the video linked in the infobox are clearly fake with a camera & projector but others appear authentic like the one made on the street.
My God, this is AWESOME!
1st!
I believe frames 23 and 25 of “Flo” are actually a skunk.
And in the others, a microphone in the entryway picks up tiny little cries of “help me!”
Is that the \’Who You Got in Mind?\’ horn cue from David Holmes\’ Ocean\’s Eleven score?
Also sounds like the horn intro to \”Spinning Wheel\” by BS&T
Good lawd has Bocketroom gotten Geeky? I mean beyond Geeky ? What do you call that?
Joanne is still nice though. I wonder if she drinks Boddington\’
Cheers Chuck
Hey, all this ascertaining of movement is mighty fascinating, but what truly peaks my interest is the following: how can I order some of those popcorn bags with the red rocket on the outside? They appear to be potentially a truly unique item for entertaining guests back here at home after a trip to the DVD store. Also, can I get matching paper napkins?
Knock-Knock! Who\’s there?
I want popcorn! I want bag! I want porridge!
Fee, Fie, Foe, Fum!
This gives a whole new meaning to haute couture watch out Whopper & Big Mac!
Gee Kam! Wherever did you find that? ;)
Is anyone else having problems with the QuickTime page (http://www.rocketboom.com/vlog/rb_07_oct_10/quicktime)? I get a pop-up alert that says, \”Click to run an ActiveX control on this webpage.\” I click the OK button and then nothing happens, just an unloaded image where the embedded QT player should be. I\’m using QT7 and IE6.
It\’s nice to think of the planes in geometry when using motion tracking. To read about the correction of location and orientatin errors in electromagnetic motion tracking go here: http://vroot.org/node/4533
Then click on \”paper\” in the right corner.
Yesterday was John Lennon’s 67th birthday.
In tribute Yoko built a peace tower.

The cat thing isn\’t motion tracking. It\’s just image recognition.
I get to go in a motion suit today! I get to do back flips and other stunts in it! Its to test the limits of the suit. I’m so excited!
Also that kitty door is awesome!
