Sry, this is annoying. I know. But I wrote this posting. And now the day is over. … And I wanted it to be seen, because I want an answer. So I thought: \”Maybe I\’m allowed to be annoying this once\”. So I\’ll just post it again for today. Sry.
Hi, I wanted to ask whether the germany based project of the same kind was recognized in the States? It ran on the german news tickers some weeks before I saw press releases on 10Questions.
This german platform is based on the one, that is in use here in order to get in contact with the chancellor. Usually her press office will answer the questions then. They are posted in written form, but I don\’t see two much advantage of posting them via video, when the poster isn\’t that important but his question is. The important thing is the interactivity not the multimediality.
Anyway, the german site is:
http://www.direktzurkanzlerin.de/
where \”direkt zur\” means \”straight to\”. It\’s mainly an university projecthttp://www.direktzu.de/company/about
. And you can post questions, vote on them and get them answered. For the chancellor and for other politicians.
Every week three questions are chosen (by vote) and get answered. Making this a regular thing and not a one time show seems to me to be an even better idea.
The english version is
http://www.straight2thecandidates.com/
I don\’t know however how much traffic the site gets.
Unfortunately I don\’t know to whom all you can post questions. There are the candidates and there is
http://www.straight2who.com/usa
but I don\’t know whether there also are pages for the current members of the senate and the house?
I\’d appreciate answers whether any of this was known to someone and whether anyone in the US has ever heard of the site.
Thanks, Jack
Hey JackH.
I hadn\’t heard of Straight2TheCandidates here in the US. Looks interesting, though.
I can’t add an “I liked it” for the girl? I gave one to Bre, why can’t I give one to her? (in other words, why isn’t she in the show’s description?)
I agree with JackH - ActionGirl deserves a link or mention in the links because she just added a whole new dimension to Bre’s reports!
ActionGirl +2 (I included 1 from JackH!)
We don\’t have a vote for ActionGirl b/c we don\’t have a link for her.
All I have to offer is a link to her Flickr page:

Fantastically Fun Video by makezine.com !
You should run a \”win a date with Bre Pettis\” contest. And then film the fun! Action Girl should go along as a chaparone.
Very Nice.
