Except for the earmuffs and the lady-like way with which she got on the bike at the beginning; how do we know that the rest of the ride was REALLY Joanne?!
Great track. With that pace though she should consider entering in the Beijing Olympics! What? It was ffwd? Oh. Cool clip nonetheless.
The high-speed camera gimmick didn't hold my attention. Especially since half the footage was so dark.
You kinda sucked the mood, atmosphere and intoxicating danger of riding a bike in NY right out of this. You could have done this in Des Moines and it would have felt the same. Just a lot of images coming at us way too fast.
My suggestion: Post a couple clips from this ride at normal speed, maybe the park and maybe if Joanne got a mite close to a truck here or there. Use ambient sound. Give us a taste of what it was really like.
That was...hey, look at tha...oh, that was coo...wait, there\'s...did you see th...look out...wait I\'m not...whoa!
Casual Friday, don\'t cha just wuv it!
Time to bust out the old disambiguationator!

Love the music. Little dark in spots.
Would\'ve been Fun to do a 2-pane split with 1 shooting rider & background + 1 shooting where rider is going.
~Tv show: 24.
I really liked this one
Yes it it hard to know if that was really Joanne but that is not important.
I get that due to time constraints it was impossible to use normal pace and thusly also ambiance sound had to go.
Those are some very lucky handlebars, to be held like that, for such a length of time...
Hey, snap out of it Mike! Ooops, sorry. What I meant was, that\'s a very nice bicycle.
I\'m a huge biking enthusiast; I try to ride whenever possible. So watching this RocketBoom show was delectably delightful indeed. That was quite a ride, too, as it looked like it included {by quick glimpses :) } battery park city(?), the west side along the Hudson, the 20\'s and 30\'s up into mid-town, past the Eiffel Tower, then up onto Central Park, and beyond. That\'s a whole lot of pedaling! What an excellent chronicle of Manhattan during autumn! (Sorry, that Paris landmark is only in my imagination).
The music was great, again as usual, also. I downloaded the GarageBand link (from Drew, above) but it would not open for me. I suspect, though, that it is because I have never upgraded from GarageBand v1.1.0; and Drew\'s file was most likely made on a more current version.
Hey Music Man, great that you picked up on some of the instruments. Here is the actual Garage Band file to play around with, lets us know what you come up with:
Love the new music, Andrew!
Where's the mp3

What would be really interesting would be to back-mount the camera on the FRONT rider, and get a shot of someone biking NYC from in front of them..

Have a great weekend. Rock on!
Joanne on speed.

And in other news Rocketboom made another pointless artsy video with no information at all.
It reminds me one of my brother\'s video
Awesome! I just created a similar film through San Francisco: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWUq_rpuwA4

So cool!, I am seriously tempted to drive up there (from Philly) to Manhattan with my bike, Park and ride all over. Feeling inspired by this video
Thanks! Just export to .mp3 :)
Still working on getting a Rocketboom album together.
A lot of music videos :)
I\'m going to tag on here. I couldn\'t get the words for my thoughts down right before. You put it so eloquently I had to chime back in. Ditto!

Well shoot, I\'ll give it a shot or two.
Here is lame attempt number one...
More whack attempts are sure to follow, sadly.
Which Jam Pack did you use?
(no wonder there\'s missing instruments/loops!)
Uh, yep, welcome to whackyville.
Why not make a Casual Fridays video collection?
I\\\'d like to see Joanne bike ride through Tokyo...
