    Joanne,

I would say beware the Wikipedia faithful after this issue.

Very amusing. One slight mistake though: CAT would have been worth five points, not three since C = 3 points.

  5. Jimmy’s pretty good at Scrabble. Is there anything in which that man DOESN’T excel?!

Hey, you wiki-nuts… I need you to nominate your favorite Indie-label songs of the 21st century at:

Jimmy’s playing the “golf” version of Scrabble. Lowest score wins.

I don’t think the flower needed to be thrown. Giving the flower was a nice sign of changing the subject. Words aren’t everything.

Obviously Joanne had a few extra letters stashed up her sleeve, if she had sleeves, under the table then, because you are only allowed 7 tiles in your rack @ all times, you play 4, you pick up 4 etc. & she laid down 9 tiles on the first go & 9 on her next move.
I’m not playing Poker with her ever!

    2. You know, before sitting down to play, I looked up the rules of the game online to refresh my memory. And then I went in and re-wrote some of them.
My oponent didn’t seem to object to my taking this liberty so, I figured it was okay.

I haven’t played scrabble in eons, so I might be wrong, but doesn’t one only have 7 tiles (letters) to begin each round? The first word Joanne formed used 9 letters…and the others. well, I was too lazy to count, but they too seemed to be more than 7 tiles. So this must be Scrabble Plus.

And speaking of t-shirts yesterday, Drew I’d like a full-color video RB t-shirt featuring today’s episoide. Thank you.

Today’s episode appeared to be symbolic, but the interpretation is ambiguous. It could have been about the relationship between woman and man, or between Joanne and men in general (that’s tempting), or between Jimbo and Rocketboom. But I suspect it ran a little deeper, and was really about information (Joanne) and wisdom (Jimbo). The sunset tells us an era is ending and the balance between these two concepts is changing. The simple honesty of the Jimbo’s words, dog no net cat, contrasted with the complex opacity of Joanne’s, tell us that people (dog, cat) can grow together and get to know (no) one another and themselves thru the internet (net). We are all connected thru multiple overlapping networks (net). It’s not just an encyclopedia (no). The pendant defines words like actinomorphic, the Buddha presents you with a daisy. And since wisdom is not easily defined, information rejects it carelessly, blind to what is being lost.

    1. Information is like a wave whose source is the vast ocean of wisdom.
Information is just that; a wave, we can choose to accept or reject, ride or not ride…but all information is, are individual raindrops, that eventually go back from whence they came…b-man
