      The Question Movie

The original dropping knowledge promotional film, the Question Movie was first screened on this website in September 2005. Cut together from images created during dropping knowledge CEO Ralf Schmerberg’s 15-year career as a commercials director, the Question Movie is a visually poetic intoduction to the practice of questioning.

Any chance of rigging up the next balloon to send telemetry, so you don’t have to retrieve the cards next time? Or is that still too pricey a proposition?

Exactly what constitutes a traffic jam in Nebraska, anyway?

Newark has tried hard in recent years to shake its reputation as a bus station that planes land at, as they seek a larger slice of the air traffic headed into the NYC area. I see now that all their efforts have been erased.

  5. Joanne, I notice you don’t have an “X” on that gadget you speak into. Will you make sure it disposed of properly when it’s time is up. Will all the poisonous chemicals and computer chips inside be discard in a safe manner? And the plastic casing as well. Well I hope so, after all your paper preaching.

This was poing to be my original post which may fit into what you will be doing on Friday:

Joanne, Drew I think this would make a great casual Friday.
Joanne could hit the streets of NYC and ask the question
as posed in this video & site.

Then take a look at all 100 question videos.

Interesting posting today but using old technology to keep up with current events isn\’t exactly RB sweetspot.
Either way, watching Joanne try to hold a smile for 2 minutes while talking to the ballon guy was amusing.
(And looked tough for her, also . . .)

I agree with sliverageguy. Interesting, useful reports today, but…
Just tell us what you want to tell us. Demos are nice, but, really, don\’t talk to people on the phone during the show. It really bogs it down.

Along with myself & Maynard G. Crebs, I see David has a large ball of string on his desk.
What w/all the backup systems used on the balloon, I’m surprised Bre didn’t have a backup GPS. Some farmer has probably plowed the thing under by now.
Did Erin scoff the whole cake herself? Oink!

  10. It’s always a tiny bit irritating when people exchange normal pleasantries on the phone, on camera, or on radio call ins etc..
eg ” Hi this is Joanne. How are you?”
“I’m fine, Joanne. How are you?”
    “I’m great” etc etc.
Why not, ” Hi Bre this is Joanne, What’s going on with such and such?..

    Is it just me?

Small point, but I had to get it off my chest. BTW Love the show :)

If it\’s just a tiny bit irritating, then why did you waste a bunch of tiny bits complaining about it? Did you have something really important to do in those three seconds? You could always go with \”You speak, me speak.\” Saves time, and cuts down on normal pleasantries. On second thought, I guess you\’re right. There\’s too much of that going on in this world.

  12. The name “Ron Paul” caught my eye in the digg censorship story. Here is the only true conservative among the 10 Republican candidates who actually has spoken out against the war since BEFORE we went in (check the Congressional record, one of only 6 House Republicans to vote Nay).

I did a search on the document shown and there were over 750+ incidents of positive articles on Congressman Paul being buried. WTF! I think there is a great reason to be concerned when a private company/corporation or YOUR government is trying to silence opposition to its current administration’s inane foreign policies. Freedom of Speech my a$$!
