Good morning gang!
And we know the Pope is right about evolution because he recently explained to us that only Catholics are really Christians. You just can’t argue with that. (Well, you can, but it’s not like it’s going to do you any good.)
And that sex is wrong unless you’re married. Or a priest diddling little boys, it seems, in which case you get a free trip to a new hunting ground. (Or did, until quite recently.)
And that women are not fit to deliver the sacraments of the being who preached universal love.
I could go on.
When will we stop listening to old men in funny hats who claim to be linked directly to the power of the universe? It’s caused more suffering than damn near anything else.
I’m gonna go hug me some trees.
Where does everything come from? From yesterday if one has to rush off to work with not enough time yet for today!

Lovely mood match!
I think not. (It\’s over-rated.)
The end is near just click on my name and pick your scenario. If your looking to make amends before the end, go to http://www.headshaker.com where they are having an apology thread today.
THE END IS HERE!

about Friday\’s hugs
As a Christian I see no contradiction between my religious beliefs and evolution. This Protestant agrees with the Pope.
Pope Helmet!

Hey! It\’s me; C-C. I\’m down here in NYC! It\’s so stinkin\’ hot we haven\’t ventured into the \”big city\” yet for fear we might melt prefering instead to swing out to the Hamptons and also hit the beach here on this end of Long Island. But I can feel that RB energy radiating from over in Manhattan; however, I feel I may have to abandon my quest to bump into Joanne. Damn; so close, yet so far.
Quickly scanning some comments I saw B-man\’s note on Central Park & Mount Royal have the same designer. Your post was not in vain! Where the heck do you find this stuff? Oh yeah; on the Internet!
Rock on!
dude, i am so officially jealous.
While there be sure to check out shinnecock inlet, and smile pretty for the webcam. (I tried to paste a link but got rejected by the spam filter. google \”shinnecock\” and it should come up.
Also, Tully\’s (which you can darn near hit with a rock from the webcam) used to make great chowder. Worth a look.
And, if you haven\’t been out there before, and are headed back toward the city, try driving the Ocean Parkway from Captree State Park to the Wantaugh Freeway. The ocean on your left, the bay on the right….
The way I see it, you can believe that everything comes from God, which begs the question, \”Where does God come from?\” To which there is only one answer that I know of, and that is that it\’s \”beyond our comprehension\”.
Or you can believe that everything came from something other than God, and that something would have to be \”beyond our comprehension\”, since we don\’t understand it.
So no matter what you do, there\’s going to be something that\’s simply beyond our comprehension. I believe that that \”thing\” that lies \”beyond our comprehension\” is something huge and powerful, amazing and incredible… totally incomprehensible… God!
Why would something that amazing take billions of years to get us to the point that we\’re at today — talking about how it all started? That\’s why I don\’t believe in evolution, because I see no reason to believe in it. The only reason I see for an idea like evolution to exist, is to explain a way for God not to exist. If God (or that incomprehensible thing) can get the universe running, why would he need to allow billions of years for us to form. What\’s the point?
The world is far too incredible to not have an amazing God behind it all! It\’s a wonderful place, and I think it\’s creator is just as wonderful, and I want my whole life to be about glorifying that wonderful, amazing God.
Call me superstitious or ignorant if you want. It\’s what I believe.
