Salut,
nice show.
Concerning the future of the data processing, I think that we have to look toward this direction:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_computing
In spite of more and more interesting tests, it is still problems of stability (quantum braids) concerning the management of the variable quantum states.
We can note that IBM group especially contributes in this innovating domain :
http://www.research.ibm.com/quantuminfo/
To conclude, a geostrategic consideration :
the first (country) that will manage to make operate such a system will have a considerable advance, especially in the military domain (Cryptography => decoding ) and undoubtedly in the dependent context of the economic intelligence.

On the future of data processing…faster is always better.
So what are they going to do when our computers give us our information instantly?
What is faster than instantly?
Where is the maggot link? I am lost without the maggot link!!! And I cannot imagine why you left out the clip that this was inspired by the trails that maggots leave as they exit. dead. bodies. Ewegheghhh…
Chère Joanne
Comment faites-vous pour avoir des idées tellement lumineuses dans des tenues aussi miteuses?
Vous semblez chez vous àParis, connaissez-vous pour autant le Printemps de la mode?

It is H-A-F-N-I-U-M. Not Halfnium, not hafium.
At least they got it half right.

Let me start off by saying I am not really into video blogs and yours is the only one I watch. Not sure why I watch day after day but don’t care enough to probe into figuring out the answer. Getting to my point. That sweater thing you wore today has got to go. The thick collars make your head look small, Or maybe you look like a Jedi or Yoga master , anyway I think you almost always wear great stuff and no that’s not the reason I watch but yikes! on that sweater. ;-)
Drew/Joanne, to clarify what other people said, there are 2 typos in the captions under the video where “hafnium” is misspelled.
I didn’t know Joanne was on CNN. Arg…How come when I am watching the vid my clip keeps on skipping?

Jason: if you watched more videoblogs, you’d know that, unfortunately, that sweater is standard issue to all videobloggers and must be worn at least once per year to keep one’s status as a top videoblogger. This should explain why Rocketboom is one of the top videoblogs around, along with Steve Garfield.
:-D
Just watched the interview on CNN, btw. Great job, Joanne!

I always get a kick out of protesters. I am at heart a Punk Rocker and I hate f-ing Hippies! Which is why you never ever see Courtney Love at any of those fool fests because she was once married to Sid Vicious in a movie. I just love seeing Sean Penn as well mostly because he now looks just exactly like a used car salesman I mean just exactly like you took a phenotype of a used car salesman gave him a bunch of New Orleans flooded cars and roll of lottery scratch offs and bus ticket to DC. Also Susan serandon she reminds me of the concept of menopause. I cannot go any further. And do not ge me started on Jesse Jackson who has to be the biggest racist in DC since FDR he has no qualms against holding his neighbor underwater for a buck, seeing him speak always reminds me of my lack of House representation based on my skin color.
Woo hoo go Rocket boom.
