Great camera work Ian! I wouldn’t have minded seeing more footage on you learning the craft …seems like you are going to a mighty ice craftsman. Truthfully I’d also like being able to look at a some more footage- like the dreidel. Maybe you could link us to your flickr account Ian if you felt like being so bold. Good episode guys!
still with the cool map rb??
Nice vlog today.
Nice that you scheduled this along with the cooling trend in the northeast. Ice festivals are a tradition in my area and I was wondering if they were going to be a possibility.
Speaking of ice, I have been looking hard for a neutral discussion of global warming. Everything I have found on the web has been very politically one sided, which I think is dangerous for such an important phenomenon that nobody really fully understands. Anyone have any good sources?
Very cool.
I would have thought they would use molds to make most sculptures . . .
Good music, also - sounds like Django Rinehardt.
I’m going to rent 2001: A Space Odyssey again and try to catch a glimpse of the undebelly of the giant monolith to see if it too, had Rocketboom written on it.
Dam that guy crazy with a chainsaw like Jason. He got some crazy skills. LoL loved the Rocketboom ice sculpture :) …
I’m reminded of the James Bond movie with the ice palace, the space-based death ray, and the security thug who comically announced to Bond “I’m Mister Kill”.

Anyone heard of iFone or eyephone ? :-)

How much does a raw block of ice like that cost?
Is that how you get on Rocketboom!? What a whore!
OK…jk…it was a pretty cool scultpture.
… back to the manuscript
Who is the idiot that let Ian play with a chainsaw?????
Killer shot of the chainsaw through the ice from the side, ditto for the drop of water falling from the snowflake.
Great work cuz!
Dear Joanne,
That was a really cool episode! I really enjoyed it. I am 10! I would love to learn how to do that.
Let’s melt some ice!
Crank it up to 11!
Thanks for this one leron, I’ve listened to it at least 50,000 times.
Google loves me.

You’re in big trouble now leron, just listened to Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood on YouTube. Just as it finished I heard a news bulletin that the polar ice caps were melting at an unprecedented rate.
(don’t worry…I won’t tell anyone…)
Anytime art, ice, and Lao Tzu intersect in one place, you know it’s going to be cool.
