Nothing quite like the truly rancid world of Texas politics – especially when mixed with futile attempts at higher education (sic)!
Looks like I\’ll be having company

Don\’t forget to click on the video…good luck Joanne!
How come you keep pushing this false Santa, I\’m going to bring coal and sticks to rocketboom if they aren\’t careful: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/santa-claus-live
Hey that strong and silent man Chris Rodriguez is not, apparently a poor hermeneutics-ist. His narrator, though, technically is for having the last word! That\’s how I interpret it.
That green glowing Litroenergy stuff brings back memories of my daze living out in the L.A. haze: the low riders out there in East Los Angeles, who looked remarkably similar to Christmas Chris Hot-Rod Rodriguez, used to paint the undersides of their fenders with a glowing substance, then cruise slowly Friday nights down Ventura Boulevard in the Valley, or Hollywood Blvd in the hills, or Pico Rivera in the basin; and do the hydraulic lift action that lowriders have become famous for. I once had a photograph, but alas it has disintegrated.
That Steve Jobs-meets-rocketboom video mashup at the beginning has been floating around YouTube for almost a year now, but seems to still have fewer than 100 views (Everybody click on the link!). Also, if you are a big fan of RocketBoom\’s mistress of ceremonies (and whom amongst us reading these comments isn\’t?) then you\’ll enjoy watching this one, and also this one, if you haven\’t already.
Those horse carriage rides through Central Park are a classic. I think that I even did that with someone way back during the New-Wave era. Or it might have been during the disco era–no wait couldn\’t\’ve been. Must\’ve been during the mid nineties. Yes, that\’s it; it cost something like $40 for a twenty minute tour. Very lovely, and the cars and traffic are very aware of these horse-drawn coaches. They really need to get rid of those pedicabs. Now there\’s danger!
Today, Thursday, this part of Connecticut is expecting 6 to 10 inches of snow by tonight. Here is a photo out my window at 10 a.m. when it was starting:

…and here it is now at 2 p.m.:

Click on montage to view the huge version (in another window).
So, you got floodlights or night vision on your camera? What\’s the snow like now? Not that I don\’t have enough of my own with more coming tonight and tomorrow but it\’s comforting to know we\’re not alone in our
miseryI mean winter wonderland.9 p.m.: Luckily we ended up with the low end of the predicted accumulation. Now, lucky me, I get to leave in a few to work all night (and tomorrow night) in it.

Canada must get some serious snow, huh?
Yup, and for some godforsaken reason it always dumps on us here in the east. If you look up towards the north-west a bit you may see me waving – there, over a bit more, ya, that\’s me!
Others get slammed in big ways too but only once in a blue moon so they aren\’t ready or equipped to handle it. Sure it\’s fun and nice to look at for a few minutes but enough is enough – you can take it away now; and I\’ve been a diehard skier all my life! Now I\’d rather travel to the snow, ski, and come back home to nice dry landscape.
I said I wouldn\’t watch Rocketboom today, but I did take a quick look. You and your Chris Santa= random.
sure is a strain to watch rb for 3 minutes…hope you’re not too exhausted
Some animal rights activist!

we just watched AT ANY LATITUDE again, with Joanne visiting Thailand. This was the series that hooked me on Joanne\’s face and voice and personality. I wish they were still in production.
