First! ;)
Yaaaa Joanne!
Priceless facial expressions as usual (among many delivery other talents too numerous to mention here!)
I’m not allowed to touch the tablecloths in our house anymore.
Nice post! Intense! Very Intense!
2nd!
Interesting stories today.
I predict that in 100 minutes, someone will give you grief for allowing the f-word in today’s show.
[sarcasm]Grief for allowing the f-word.[/sarcasm]
Why did you allow that foul-mouthed comedian to say “Pa*is Hilt*on”? My kids are not allowed to hear those words in our house, and I don’t think it’s proper for you to allow them either. I am extremely offended and I’ll never come back to Rocketboom ever!
promise?
I’d like to get a kids feed up. Instead of censoring it, I think we would just exclude the episode from the RSS feed. Thoughts?
On our TiVo feed, today’s episode was marked “MA” for mature audience due to broadcast laws; it’s usually marked TV_14.
No censorship…kids today have heard it all. They can handle it.
I love when he said “ma’am, in the future, find out what you’re going to see
before you see it…” That about sums it up for me. What the fuck was this Christian Group doing at this performance to begin with? Were they expecting to see a Billy Graham comedy revival? What Mike Daisey said was mild in comparison to stuff I’ve seen by comedians and the like over the years. I admire the way he didn’t lose it and entertained a dialog with the remaining patrons. Kudos! No comparison to Kramer here.
Perhaps this is fitting, found it by accident + she’s hot.

(Joanne, rough weekend? You look a little peaked the past couple of days…just an observation….)
Whoa, dude! And I was going to write that Joanne looked fresh and vibrant; like a sunny, warm, spring day! There, I did. Remember she has been globe trotting as of late but I don’t think it shows a bit.
Nice shot of wild Alice.
We’re getting slammed by comment spam today. So we’re turning off anonymous commenting for the rest of the day. Sorry for the downtime, folks.

Hmmm … let\’s see what Scoble says about comment SPAM! It may prove helpful here.
The TAP seems almost superfluous, since so many acts of \”terrorism\” have been shown to be perpetrated by governments upon their own people, just as Orwell warned about.
9/11 was perpetrated by criminal elements in the US government. Similarly, 7/7 was perpetrated by the British government.

… And why would democratic governments want to bomb their own people? Because elites don\’t like democracy too much it turns out, and they do like global empire.
See how the USA is becoming a police state:

I think you have a rubber head you nitwit
What happened to mike daisey really is surreal and shocking. I’ve just gotta say that I am a Christian, and I don’t use the f-word and would prefer not to hear it whenever possible. Not simply because it’s “the f-word” but because it’s a crass description of what I believe to be a beautiful gift of God between a man and a woman in marriage.
But everybody walking out like that at the same time seems very odd. They must have known the act had language in it, they should have done some research first. It seems as if this was purposely done in protest, which seems very horrible and rude.
And Kudos to Mike for forgiving that guy who poured water on his work.
Mike has posted a follow up to his blog post about the incident. It seems he tracked down the person who poured water over his notes and had a long talk with him. Wow.
Hey, man, the “f-word” is simply a word used to express anger or irritation or some other mood used by people who curse (most of the world). It doesn’t degrade the “act” that you refer to that you feel is a “beautiful gift of God” or homophobically consider between only a man and a woman in marriage. So try growing up and joining the world and don’t be so touchy about things. Okay?
I\’m confused - why walk out? Where is the beautiful gift? I want the beautiful gift!
So does Mike
Earth 2 has been discovered !!!! COOL!
Once we get through trashing this one, we can move there. What’s 20 light years? Pack lite!
