Sure hate to come down on youthful enthusiasm, but overall this video “represents” horrible sound-mixing. I could understand maybe 8% of what these kids say they represent. Is this the future of the world? A cacophany of indecipherable adolescent nonsense?

Where in Hades did film makers get the idea we llike overpowering soundtracks? I can appreciate the video here and, if you’ll pardon me, what it “represents”. But the swelled background music sucks on Grey’s Anatomy and it sucks here, too.

i agree, but i don’t mean to be so blatant about it. his voice just tore me to shreds, though. not sure exactly what it was, but hearing ‘whaddya repr’zent?’ over and over just killed me. i had to skip to the end.

I think I must be getting old. I just don\’t get this video. It was about as boring as a video can get and was way too long. Now I know what these people represent and that is somehow related to world peace although I don\’t see the connection. Also, unless they were elected somehow then they don\’t actually represent anything but themselves.
After re-reading the previous paragraph I now know for certain that I am getting old. I\’m taking things way too seriously.

Perhaps what matters most in this video is the question?
It\’s true - I don\’t pretend to understand half the answers (or yes, hear them) - but it\’s the question that\’s important. A generation that asks itself what it represents is a good thing.
It\’s the same question that my generation asked itself regarding Good Friday 1998 when we in Northern Ireland voted for a potential roadmap to peace. It wasn\’t easy and most of us weren\’t ready to forgive, forget or trust but, fundamentally, the choice was easy because you either stood for hope or the status quo.
