First! Finally.
Excellent interview.
I’m still amazed, how do they make any money to support this? What is the business plan and how do they implement it and support themselves in such travels.
The encyclopedia ANYBODY can edit.
Where Truth + fact = fiction (quite often)
Wickies need these for protection.

Hey B-man, I know you\’re a big fan of the UN and always support it\’s tireless efforts to make the world a better place. Here\’s an article on their latest project:
Short, with comments.
Slightly longer.
I hear black helicopters.
Hey Nab, where\’dya get the I\’m a UN fan from? China?
I\’d rather drink Liquid Drano than support that farcical organization.
\”UN Organization\” now there\’s an oxymoron.
\”The Truth is Out There!\”…Agent Mulder
Oh B-man, I was being facetious. I know you don\’t like the UN. Sorry if it was a bad joke.
As for me, I think the UN serves two useful purposes:
It promotes Western secular culture and values, and
It gives the countries outside the West a way to blow off some steam.
I hope the appalling resolution talked about in the links above is an example of the later.
His map\’s better than your map!
Later people
Kam, I was going to say the exact same thing, but decided to post something more serious instead.
We didn\’t see his footage until after we\’d finished the phone interview. Needless to say, we cracked up when we saw him in front of a map.
Seriously, I WAS being serious, no kidding! ;^)
nice
Oh yeah, I\’ve been meaning to ask this for about a week now:
Is anyone out there watching Rocketboom on AppleTV?
I\’ve been wanting to get some feedback as to how it\’s working out on the new box.
Of course, if you\’re watching this on AppleTV, you might not necessarily be visiting the comments section…. Hmmm…
I assume you are referring to Apple tv, or is that £? some other tv gizmo?
Nic Hill has got right… bring the knowledge to the people… its a very good time for a documentary on this subject to made… I am very curious to see how “Truth in Numbers” comes across to the general public and if it will get enough support to reach a bigger, broader audience than his previous effort, Piece by Piece, The history of San Francisco Graffiti… imdb entry, here. I caught this film at a local indie film house in San Francisco over a year ago but I have heard it get showed here and there still… and of course DVD is available… “Piece by Piece” was pretty good, and I recommend that you take a look at it if you are interested in graffiti at all, and I highly recommend folks look into it if you really hate or do not understand graffiti… definite eye opener…
That aside… after seeing just few trailers, the POD casts and this interview, regarding “Truth in Numbers”, it looks as though its going to, at the very least, open peoples eyes to a technology that until now only high school kids in developed countries and computer geeks know about…
I would to predict/guess/hope that because of the nature of the Wiki technology and the fact that it is the subject of the film that it should enjoy a wide reception around the world within and outside the world of wikipedians and internet geeks… if Wiki technology is all its cracked up to be, a lot of people should hear about this film…
Good interview, weird that they both had maps, I agree… doesn’t Joanne always have the map behind her? Maybe Nic was playing a joke? eh?
xminer
We now interupt all RB posting to bring you this amazing musical interlude.

Very nice, smooth, but it looks like he\’s about to say something rude or he needs to go pee real bad!
Why can\’t I comment on here? It won\’t let me!8)
Obviously it does let you comment because there it is, not only once…
Finally!
but twice!
You should report on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows tomorrow.8)
& yet again!

Looks like a cool doc - best of luck with it.
Nic\’s map needs ironing.
Wow, just what the world needs — another Kool-Aid drinker fawning over “free knowledge” (wonder how Seigenthaler, Zoeller, and Brandt feel about the reliability of said knowledge, created by a band of autocrats with no accountability to the real world?) and feeding the enormous ego of the God-King, Jimbo Wales. Will the documentary incorporate the fact that Jimmy’s “side project” that got $4 million in venture capital routinely exploits the labor and infrastructure of Wikipedia to feed the Google AdSense traffic on Wikia? How about the Essjay scandal — where a college drop-out lies about his academic degree(s), his faculty position, and that a Pulitzer-winning journalist offered to pay him for an interview, and Jimbo didn’t have a problem with that? Sigh.
The truth is taking a leak! Ahhh. Much better now that it’s out in the open.
Hi Nic! (and everyone else)
Ho,ho,ho I\’d love see my face there. I already post this in Wikipedia Indonesia and ask them to check it.
Goodluck with the project!
