did you see the flying people in the hotel rooms?
The Firefox XML parser complains that this MTV site isn’t well-formed. It seems to work fine with IE, though. However, they’re closed for maintenance till 6:30 am PT. I’ve got no clue when it should be. It’s 2:40 pm in Germany right now… Good show, as ever.
Oh yeah, that was hot… though the intestinal robot wasn’t good for my back stomach.
Unless there’s one already down there…
I’m so glad they are going to keep trading up and not auction off the necklace. I love seeing Joanne talking to people on the street.
Hey no news is good news especially when Joanne is being silly.
I know from first hand information that Pete Townshend is a fan of Rocketboom. You’re homage to his antics was superb. I’m sure he would appreciate it.
Rock on Joanne!
Hmm, was that a Fender Squire acoustic you destroyed? Oh well, they’re not that good for anything except bangin’ around I guess. I hope you replaced those coat hanger wire strings that came on it with some decent ones. So, let’s hear ya play something you know on it!
The name on the headstock of that guitar looked like “Maestro”. Just a guess - was king of fuzzy.
No! I guess you didn’t destroy that guitar. On freezeframe it looked like a Gibson peghead similar to my L48. We don’t bang those along…
Nice guitar swinging, Joanne. I would love to see you trash a hotel room and have Andrew settle the account with the management.
Pete’s definitely a fan of RB; he was linking to it on his blog for awhile, and his personal assistant has told me so on a couple of occasions. He and Daltrey put on an awesome show - the quality of the live mix was stunning. I saw them way back when I was in high school, and frankly, I thought they performed better this time around. I just wished one of the security people there didn’t knock my camera and force me to stop recording the song….
One last thing - I took a lot of still pics of them during the set as well. You can find them here:

19th !! Sorry, got caught up in the frenzy. Great show and great Who-ing Joanne !
This episode is sure to put ole Crespo on an oxygen mask! Awesome!
Hey can you turn off autoplay on the homepage?
You know, autoplay?
Nice show today.
Townsend, if you are out there, this is for you…
“Boris, the spider….”
Joanne went supernova today.
Walter where are you, we need a super compliment for the lady of the house.
Kudos to the producers. Very enjoyable. Joanne adds a different spice to the show that’s very pleasant.
The virtual Laguna Beach app is quite clearly a re-packaging of the massive called “There”. (there.com)
The graphics, avatars, look-and-feel is unmistakeable.
Awesome show today…what a broad spectrum of coolness you dropped on us today.
Have a great Tuesday.
I think Crespo is off on the virtual road trip with Amanda. My guess is he’s still watching though.
But since he hasn’t commented in a few days, I’ll add: Joanne Colan, a very pretty name for a very pretty lady.
Dook
“To all the autoplay haters out there”
Well - That’d be just me.
“turn off autoplay in your Quicktime plugin settings”
Well … uh .. yeah … ***cough cough thanks cough cough***
You need more field reporters, thats a good thing.

Listen closely to John Entwistle’s lead bass break.
Listen & weep.
…and now for the LIVE version

Joanne I Love YOU! YOU’RE AWESOME!!!
Joanne,
You’ve got to go back and do that guitar scene again after watching the live version that B-man references. My guess is that if you sign the guitar first and hype it a bit, then you’ll be able to sell it on E-bay for the red cross and raise a heck of a lot more money than the current auction.
Just when you thought ol billy boy wasn’t watching … BOOM! … I sneak back in and break off another review in you.
Hmmmm … interesting and very eclectic mix today … hard to characterize … other than to say “interesting and eclectic.” But I just said that … twice.
The rock and roll / woodstocky stuff made me nostaligic for a simpler time … when drugs and rebellion still seemed “fresh” and the Internet was yet unborn … before it became the new global addiction.
No … I’m not endorsing drugs. Drug use merely signals a desire to know life at more transcendent level … but is a poor substitute for the Spirit of God …
Joanne … you’re getting more comfortable … and confident … you realize you’ve become a welcome vistor to our daily lives … you realize as Sally Fields said at the Oscars … “you people out there really like me.”
Since Walter Crespo isn’t here to rhapsodize your womanliness …it falls to the other notable sexist swine in here to say … the lip licking really works. And the rock frenzy is quite … well … energizing.
The only notable oversight was not having you levitating over a bed … or did I miss it … drat!
The Scobel stuff at the end came off kind of like a “product placement’ … as though you two were swapping acoloades without regard to merit of content … please be careful with that.
JayCo … you’re really letting your inward self out more now … don’t be afraid to be really bold and passionate …. you’re an english noblewoman … seething with inner oceans of victorian desires … its the whole civilized goddess thing that makes you so effective an icon for Western civilization.
yes … I have a penchant for hyperbole … but its generally rooted in a mystical insight that rings true …
BTW, Leron, don’t be so hard on white geeks seeking out IPOS … they have a great track record and never advocate killing police or brutalizing women … admirable traits these days.
Sorry I couldn’t resist throwing a fresh string of firecrackers on the campfire …
Well … must be along now.
Stay stunningly creative and charismatic, JayCo … and remember who called you JayCo first … it won’t be the last.
Later and God Bless …
Bill … the PR Guru …:-)
That was a truly excellent show.
One of your best eh.
Rock and roll are here to stay…all right now that’s a show! Joanne lets loose!
“and I like it, yeah, yeah, yeah”–rolling stones
That’s fine. Meanwhile the evidence (4 films and numerous recordings of witnesses) shows clearly the plane that hit the 2nd tower on 9/11 was a military plane.
Everyone should watch the movie
“In Plane Site” on Google Video.
9/11 was an inside job.
Hey that Music, during the Virtual laguna Beach,, I tried to recall what that was,,, And I rememebed… I used it on a tubecast
In time lapse mode ,, I love that effect, same as the idea on rocketboom

Joanne great stuff as always :D
The Virgin Music Fest was an awesome concert. DC101 hyped it for weeks and didn’t disappoint…except there were no virgins there.
Joanne is awesome! Great show guys.
