  3. Joanne, it’s Monday, not Tuesday. Wishful thinking?

  4. The references to “this day in history” are confusing. The transitions into historical events are ill-thought out. And who cares anyway? They don’t add to the show’s enjoyment in any way. They’re not interesting OR funny. Maybe try something else?

  5. TUESDAY? September 18th

    Joanne, It’s Monday!

Joanne, its neat that you can tell us what happened on September 18th in the past, but it might be time for your script writers to purchase a calendar.

    :)

How did Jeff win? His circuit calls for 230 volts and the device only had a 1.5 volt battery in it????

The divice will no longer be portable and you will have to hard wire it or carry about about 154 of those batteries in the device???

Wasn’t it supposed to be a simple ciruit?

At least they didn’t forget about the prize.

I love how Joanne grabs the papers at the end without looking.

  13. Another good show! I happen to enjoy the little historical factoids and think they’re entertaining. Neato stuff. :)

And I don’t mean this in a rude way, but sometimes when folks post about their feelings toward Joanne, it comes across as a bit…creepy. I mean there’s nothing wrong with thinking she’s cute today or whatever, but some comments in the past have been just oddish. Ah well, I guess that’s just part of the interweb thing, eh? Hopefully no harm done!

    Take it easy folks!

  21. Was this a practice run for Tuesday’s show?

Now if yesterday were today’s tomorrow would tomorrow be the future’s past refernce to today?

    Add that in your question

By the way: The question I sent in last weekend was returned by the postmaster of the web last night.

I sent it last Tuesday. Yes Tuesday!

It was lost in cyberspace for 6 days…

and never got to you guys what’s up with that?

  22. If you see space woman, could you ask her if she could lend me a few mill?

She paid a measly $20 million for the privilege of drinking vodka in space.
That was petty cash for her.

I think today was Tuesday because there were too many historical references and we never know what day they happened, do we?

They probably all fell on a TUESDAY!

  28. Nice show. One criticism: Some of the segments go by so quickly they feel like a series of jump cuts. A little more elaboration on the “who’s” and “why’s” and/or a reaction comment from Joanne might help.

  31. You know, I liked the show of the drawings and all the things from history. I felt I was learning without having to work at it like reading from some dreadfully serious newspaper. This was more fun and delight.
Also, I felt Covert7’s comments about people writing so personally about Joanne was right on. They do have an oddish quality to them. There is a lack of respect that Joanne has to put up with that I think so many women get used to all the time from the men around them. It would be good if the boys on this comments forum could stop being boys and stand up and be more mature.

  33. Did we really need a drawing of a slanty-eyed chinese guy to represent Li Tie in the opening remarks? I know you were going for cute, but you usually get there without a knee jerk ‘don’t minorities look funny’ joke. Here’s hoping it won’t happen again. — Thanks!

  37. To “usually a big fan” :

Go back home and eat some rice or something! It’s a stick figure! Get over it! It wasn’t - and obviously wasn’t even meant to be offensive. It’s pathetic you can’t see the difference. You’d enjoy life more if you’d stop looking for excuses to get upset. And just be a person.

News flash! Chinese people DO have slanty eyes! And people from Africa usually have a darker shade of skin. So what? I wonder if Joanne had a drawing about Kofi Annan and she used a brown marker, you’d be all over her case about it?
