1st, oh why…
Nice piece btw… I know things come up but when are you doing the behind the scenes piece?, was looking forward to it last week…
third! :)
Joanne should be wearing an Apple shirt instead. Given the fact that she was featured during yesterdays Apple Keynote:
http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/sep_2006/event/index.html
Where in the keynote was rocketboom mentioned?

Absolutely charming. And he seems like a happy and peaceful guy. Cheers to all things low tech and made of wood.
This guy is awesome!
I hope he brings his giant, RV mechanical theatre up to tour Canada, once he gets that engine replaced…
Interesting, but I absolutely LOVE the shirt Joanne!
According to his Wikipedia listing Ernie was the film director responsible for the short film “Hardware Wars” back in the ’70’s ! It’s a classic, if you’ve never seen it.
So he is upset that his RV is using a regular gas powered engine? So what’s the big deal?
I did like seeing the things he made since they are really cool.
Anybody win the magazines?
Are they going to go behind the scenes?
did Joanne answer any of the “hard” questions?
Didn’t think so.
Liked today’s post very much. It’s cool to see something I would never have heard of otherwise get some attention paid to it. I especially liked the reindeer bit.
Joanne, props on the Apple sighting. I watched the “Special Event” vidcast this morning and was delighted to see Rocketboom featured so prominently (though, was Steve Jobs refering to y’all when he commented on “varying levels of professionalism”? hmmmm..;)
And yeah - where’s that ‘behind the scenes’ thing we were promised?
Hi Joanne,
Nice shirt. Don’t they have a tank top version of it? I’m pretty sure they do, sure would to see you in it. No harm in dreaming. See you next time pretty lady.
…too much talking head, too little time on the ‘thingies’.

very cool…you gotta love a guy like that
very cool…you gotta love a guy like that
This is extraordinary. You should put this on Google Video or someplace.
Incidentally, I still miss Amanda a bit. She had pizzazz.
google is not cool.
amanda had pizzazz? You mean pizza, right?
This guy may be affected by gas engines but I despise his destruction of living trees to create his toys. I hope he planted young trees to replace those that he slew. And for the record, I adore V-8 engines!
Joanne in a men’s t-shirt = blah. Good piece though I agree it could have been shorter and edited…
You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Rocketboom.
Nice T-shirt.
No point in destroying those trees, and
@kameulaman
they almost 100% clear cut the trees to make his toys.
