Wow. First? Maybe?
Why so serious? Joanne’s worn black two days in a row now and 3 days ago she wore black and white stripes. Are you trying to go for a more professional look and away from the playful look? I don’t have an opinion either way, I’m just sayin.
everyone should check out the new hl2 gameplay vids!
Strange electric stuff.
At least Joanne looked hot, as usual.
First! - just for you Jeff! ;-)
Nice episode - but how did they get that many people into a room to hear those awful noises. I’d be interested to see who turns up for the next one!
Good stuff today. Minus the jackass spewing political commentary for 30 seconds and NOT talking about his ridiculously cool crash test dummy - I loved the dorkbot segment.
Check back tomorrow - and hopefully Jeff’s gonna choke himself - ’cause you know someone’s going to say it…
Hi Joanne,
You are hilarious, and you don’t even needs words, like when you winked, or that look at the very end, brilliant. Yep your speaking my lanquage when you don’t speak any… ah any… Huh? Forgot my thought, but I didn’t forget how good you looked, beautiful as always. See you next time pretty lady.
Cool Dorkbot stuff…but there’s been stuff like this for years. Still, dorks rule.
And I loved Joanne’s look at the very end…priceless. Sometimes saying nothing says more than saying something.
Goodness….how tired I am of the first person with a comment to suddenly develop a case of ‘writers block’. Is that all you have to say? “FIRST!”????
I can picture it. Scores of computer junkies with nothing to do but wait on pins and needles for the next episode to post. “Timing is a priority”, you may say. “There is no time to lolly-gag about. Someone else may jump ahead of you. Keep it to one word!”
Been ticking me off for a while, so I had to say it.
Rocketboom is still good, but, could it be turning into rocketdud? Where’s the spice, the flavor, the spontanaeity? Aw heck. Its just another slow news day. War news is old. Its vietnam all over again, and nobody even cares anymore. Refresh my memory…why is the US over in IRAQ again?
Here’s another gem…the citizens of the US spent more $$ on BIRD FOOD than $$ spent on releif aid (food) to other developing countries.
Oh well.
And let’s not forget the 1962 classic “The Three Stooges Meet Hercules”. Hey, what happened to that new and improved map? Looks like the old one is back.
What’s with all the proportionately scaled models? Are we expecting an alien invasion? Is that why RB is called Rocket Boom as in bye, bye solar system.
And those nerds with the electricity, I think they’ve zapped each other one time too many. What a waste of talent….
Bozobus
Looking good Joanne!
I saw the worst of the worst last weekend. The 1958 epic “Hercules and Ulysses meet Sampson”. Bad movie.
Good show. Ha it’s my first comment evah!
Joanne,
show after show, we can notice (across the quality of the contents) that you are more and more pretty, with a small mischievous air.
Are you in love? ;)
S.
RB seems to be losing its edge. Where did all the really fascinating stories go? Maybe it’s just a boring week right now. In that case I forgive you…
Great One, awesome expressions Joanne, thanks
“may not even their baby.” What, they got a loaner?
Hey Steve L, perhaps they should remake the film and call it “Hercules and Ulysses meet The Simpsons”. Duuh…goood mooovie!
Nab,
do u have a problem ?
u ?

It looks like that pointless dorkbot chime machine is nothing more than wind chimes with the wind taken out of them, replaced by an unnecessarily complex and distracting mechanism.
After watching that, I am now certain that I could take the regular old wind chimes off my deck, enter them in an exhibit, and get on somebody’s video blog just by saying it is “an organic response to the Earth’s own rhythms, generating gently shifting harmonies as the periodic movements of the individual chimes go in and out of phase, driven by the micromovements of the air surrounding each chime.” Which is basically what wind chimes do anyway.
The UK model scales only the distances between the objects in the solar system, but not their size. The sun (http://www.spacedout-uk.com/solar_system/solar_info.asp?site_id=2) is much too small to Maine’s building-sized sun (http://www.umpi.maine.edu/info/nmms/solar/sunnow.htm)
I don’t really get all this dork stuff but hooray for you, Joanne and your reactions. We need a very human interpreter in a sometimes barely human world.
Just now able to comment on the Staredown episode–
It actually was very entertaining watching the reactions of the people, horse, dog, and the statue, bet that took a while. Hope you do it again.
Of course it’s not their baby, it’s Scientologies baby.
Keep up the quirkiness, you guy’s are doing a fine job.
Thanks to Joanne, Shang-li and the rest of RocketBoom crew for today’s great episode! Hardly wait for tomorrow to come! Oops.. No, it also means I run short of one more day for my dissertation. Hmm… Anyway..
Joanne, last two seconds of this clip made my day - your gesture to that crash test dummy artist is totally priceless. I’ve watched it about 20 times now. Mayby few more…
Thanks!
Dorkbot was good.
