Like it…
Feelings gushing all over the place how mwssy!
Reminds me of the old Mel Blanc Shorts…
Overall, I liked it. It was fun and light, just right for Casual Friday. If I had to name a flaw, I’d have preferred a stronger ending.
Carl Stalling was the Looney Tunes composer, master of sound-to-action. There was a touch of that in this stuff.
Joanne, I don’t think it’s possible for you to get any more adorable.
Cheers!
I liked pouting Joanne the best. ;)
The Orange wall / background made it feel nice and warm.
the PMS of Joanne Colan!
Just kidding.

Interesting. I agree with “Brooklyn Kitchen”, as todays RB reminded me of those great cartoons from long ago.
This put me in a great mood! My mood ring told me so.
More Joanne capering about, please!
Joanne… you’re a hoot.
(the ‘pout’ was great)

OMG u r teh mishmashiest 3M0T3R!!!!!11!
Amazing. http://www.AskaNewYorker.com
Simply amazing. Fantastic. Sheer lunacy.
I’d like them to play “the great hemorrhoids attack on a Sunday afternoon”.
Don’t forget to show the fingers on the wall!
Cool episode! If you’re talking influences, I’m thinkin’ Max Fleischer.
Great Job Joanne.
Great show.
So obviously a great team.
Feel good factor of 10 for
the weekend.
have a good one everyone -
whatever the accompanying soundtrack.
cheers.
I just learned that the Federal Reserve system is a private company, despite it’s name. The USA is totally enslaved to this company because they print the money!
Yay pouty Joanne!
hahahaha made my day.
Brooklyn Kitchen got it right - Carl Stalling. I always had some connection to classical and did not know where it came from until I saw old cartoons as an adult. Go get this CD: The Carl Stalling Project: Music From Warner Bros. Cartoons, 1936-1958

You guys should make a video together. Oh, you just did! Well, take the show on the road. Way to go go…

Has anyone here seen Rachel and Richard perform? Is it only in the NY area?
Great job today, very fun!! I agree with the nice comments above, but what’s with Park lee-huang??
He might need some ‘get a grip’ music from mish mash….
Park lee-huang, have you seen Aaron Russo’s movie “America: From Freedom to Fascism” yet? It explores the ‘lawfulness’ of the Fed Reserve (which is about as Federal as Fed X) as well as the I.R.S.
Loved the show, especially Joanne’s closeups, yumm.
You guys can do whatever you like, it always comes out great.
How very Chaplin-esque of you!
Have you ever heard of urban storytelling? There’s this group in NYC called the Moth, and they put on storytelling events there. Right now, they’ve teamed up with the TV network TNT (we know drama) for some reason, and are doing a contest on Myspace called “What’s Your Story?â€Â. Basically, you submit a video of yourself telling the story of the most risky thing you’ve ever done, and you can win a trip to New York and other cool stuff. It’s actually really interesting and I strongly suggest everyone check it out: http://www.myspace.com/mothstories . They show a few videos on the myspace page that are worth watching if you’re confused by what they do… It will be interesting to see the different video submissions of people telling their risky stories. I think it’s really cool that myspace provides such a platform to be in the know about these types of things.
To rbyeah: I was at at their performance at the Soho House in NY earlier this year. I beleive MishMash is somewhat of a side project for the both of them. It’s billed as classical music in an unclassical way. The thought, I think, is to try and take away some of the mystique of classical music that leaves it inaccessible and unappreciated by most. Their both Juiliard trained and have done pretty extensive work away from MishMash. Rachel’s part of a chamber ensemble, Concertante, http://www.concertante.org that is based in NY, but tours all over. I think Richard might play for them too.
Love it!
Quite Enjoyable. I propose that you run something like this each month, but mix up the instruments. I’m picturing a tuba and some castenets…
it’s getting better all the time….
despite the difficulties in swallowing, perhaps the comments are a good reflection of the job being done….quite positive today!
kudos!
Great, great fun. What a performer! Joanne, you rock-out! A one woman show with music. Let’s do this again, soon.
Well done and loads of fun. Good acting, interesting subject, well put together. Good job, RB!
Fun and unexpected! Great choice to just *show* the emotions/moods. The editing was great… helped move the piece along and visually divide the emotions. Maybe plsying with some colored lights would have been fun, but overall this was very good episode. -Mano Blanco
Marvelously fantastic performances! I want more! Bravo!
That said it all.
I feel like we are living in a very decadent age, almost like we’re collectively being buttered up for something nasty.
Isn’t she adorable when she is mad (the clip in the making mood music) I think I would rather hear what she was saying…lol
