After last year’s debacle of leaked video iPod touchscreen photos, which may or may not have been partially Apple’s doing, I now associate with the Apple and iPod “brands” characteristics that don’t incline me to buy either, namely laziness, misinformation, and arrogance. Oh, and exploding batteries.

In general, iPods = lame. The video one actually looks interesting to me. If they make it affordable and support a decent number of playback formats, it might be worth a purchase. But it still has no recording, no radio, etc. So it will be a push.

well … couldn’t find time to get off a response to the North Korean bit yesterday … C’mon Joanne … how far do you think Rocketboom would get under our little Poison Panda, Mr. Kim Whatever-Il? Answer: you’d be wearing the party uniform and goosestepping with the other windup props over there … So WHY..equate NK going nuclear with the US going nuclear? We were the only ones with the Bomb til 1949 … you China or Russia …. or NK would have held off and helped up their enemies if they had a monopoloy on the bomb … and as for being the only ones to USE it … hate to interject facts but we did it to save an estimated 1 million lives which is what a conventional assault on Japan would have meant … we didn’t randomly shoot missles over neighboring countries and tell them we might just launch one cause we’re pissed.

EVEN AFTER … we dropped the first on Hiroshima … they wouldn’t surrender…forcing the dropping on Nagasaki. The Japanese regime at the time had no problems with surprise attacks on Sunday morning, no problems with running medical experiments on Chinese civilians (or keeping hundreds of Chinese and Korean women in “comfort houses” … I’m sure you can imagine the kind of comfort they were forced to offer to up to 50 Japanese soldiers a day).
Wake up to history … the US is the defender of personal liberty around the globe and has been since World War I.
