Is that Cyber Robot Joanne picking up old batteries what the future will look like?
Is that Cyber Robot Joanne picking up old batteries what the future will look like?
Aaron, that’s what I most like about RB: interesting, but not what I expected.
Joanne makes a better homo sapiens than cyber sapiens. Recycling is great, tho.
Please keep the dark eye makeup Joanne!
Extremely hot!!
Good show but I had to laugh when you guys again fawned over some Democrat and this time it was Mark Warner and yesterday he announced he wasn’t running for President! Remember the ad I said all you Dems need to see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h3GPc_yMCE However, this was good to hear about Intel’s project.
Liked the show. Liked the commercial even better. What a leap from those awful TRC (or whatever it was) spots you did months ago. If you’re going to do a commercial, it’s a good idea to find a product with a worthwhile idea behind it.
Her end product is going to be cool. But I get the feeling that the millions of passers-by on the street could not care less. The window display is an ill-conceived promotion with little interest to the cityfolk.
Welcome to Second Life! Will we see more of Joanne’s avatar in world? If so, what is her in-world name?
Robo JoCoâ€â€try and take my battery
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Second Life looks really cool, thanks Rocket Boom…I’m going to have to check it out.
Great show! Although I think second life is just a step on our journey to third world.
Nice to see my vlogger starter kit in action by somebody finally :-) Hope it worked good for you :-)
And for others who want to do vlogging in Second Life, too, maybe have a look at

Great piece, RB. Feel free to drop in on Slackstreet’s music/podcast/cyberpunk/boardwalk/convention areas or IM me Spin Martin if you want a tour of stuff a little more guided than going at it alone.
:-)

I love watching people that can build in SL.
Nice job on the ads the last couple of days, they look great!
J-
While the battery recycling ad was creative, it was too long for such a brief vlogcast. Because Rocketboom is typically only a few minutes long, it seems that they should be paying per second. Are they?
I just wanted to thank the whole RB team for all their hard and creative work on our ads. I hope you, the RB audience, enjoyed the spots. We tried to be fun, educational, and cutting edge. I hope this shows the future potential of internet advertising. Call2Recycle has been proud to sponsor such a great show.
If you would like to see the build up these ads or give us more feedback, please check out my Call2Recycle blog at:

Great casual Friday show. But an even better commercial. Futuristic Joanne was pretty darn cool.
3-1/2 ft wide? That’s wider than Ze Franks apartment.
Why did the 2nd life programmer chic have to give the virtual Joanne a breast augmentation?
Cyborg Joanne commercials? That’s was a bit to star trek nerdy for me.
Have a good weekend y’all! Go hire a helicopter ride over Manhattan before the FAA has to close that business down.
I’m guessing that kess is a smoker - a hacking laugh/cough paired with living on a sailboat. That’d be my guess.
Great show!
I don’t mean to diss your town or anything, but everytime I see an outdoor view of NYC, it seems like a soulless place, with unhappiness stamped upon its core, lacking any real joie de vivre. I know, many large cities have this problem to some degree. It just seemed especially apparent in this episode. Maybe you can find a better city to base yourselves in? Why not fly south for the winter?
Great show - great commercials - great concept.
Great weekend.
Is that a bunny rabbit nibbling on Cyborg CoJo’s ear?
That comercial was so wonderfully Gibson/early Stephenson cyberpunk. Actually more interesting than the “show”. I think you have hit upon something important. Add some “Altered Carbon” and you will really have achieved something.
I LOVE the ads too. Wish all ads out there are like these - clear message, fun, memorable. Is there a competition for ads, like the Oscars? Good job RB! You did a good job for Call2recycle, we were entertained and got the message as well. Already know where all the drop off places are in my town.
LAST!!!!
what song was that playing in the backround during the borg part?
I loved the ad too!

Fred,
To answer your question, non-rechageable batteries are now safe to throw in the trash and don’t need be recycled. Non-rechargeable batteries don’t contain the toxic metals that rechargeable batteries do.
you should check my second life stuff it’s pretty sweet, mail me if you like:

Go, Leron!
t
Leron..you make me laugh. Like, milk out the nose laugh.
Good job on the episode and AD.
NY is hard, but there’s no other place like it.
stop nodding all the time, it looks stupid
