THESE KIDS HAVE TALENT
har…har….har….
BRAVO TO ALL WHO WORKED ON THIS….
CLAYMATION EPIC
Argghhh, and I could use me a half-caff nonfat light-foam grande latte with room for me faithful clay parrot. Avast ye Splenda, matey - there be calories in that sugar-in-the-raw….
That was just awesome, guys…. We should invite these kids to serve as field correspondents…
Oh my, what a cool claymation movie! Must have taken you guys all summer to get it so good; I know how time taking each of these shots can be. Really nice voices for each of the characters. Very original story too; I love that girlish leg Shirley and her orange owner.
Good luck from Sus N.
an admirer in Denmark
Too cute!!! And a really great job done by all those kids. Goodness knows I’d have been stuck just trying to make the characters, much less being patient enough to take all those individual shots!
You should have an annual standing production offer open for these kids. It will be an outlet to shoot for. I found this charming, clever and full of kidocense. The integration of the water effects were really well done as was the choice of music and pacing. They should be very proud of having created such a delightful and entertaining program. Bravo!
I love it.
Nice production kids. Can’t wait to see your vblogs in a few years!
I loved the can of Monkey Off.
If you speak with them again tell them what a great job they did! I wouldn’t call the script dark. They needed a plot device to explain how an alien and Gallello got together so he could learn about the rotation of the planets and gravity and such. Seems reasonable to me.. plus kids love pirates!
This was really great…a lot of fun to watch. They all did a really fantastic job.
I loved the bottle of “Monkey Off” in the background of the sword-fight scene.
Great job! Those kids have terrific voices too.
Fascinating show as always. Who else has this kind of content? Nobody.
This won’t be a popular opinion, but I have to say it: the split has failed. Both RB and AmandaAcrossAmerica are absolutely unwatchable.
How did a former host and a show concept with such potential succeed in becoming so completely irrelevant?
Claymation? Interviews with Iowa politicians? How depressing.
Dear EJM; I agree that interviews with ANY politician are depressing, but…
if you are depressed by anything that celebrates the creativity of children then it’s YOU that’s irrelevant.
What were YOU doing at that age? Musta been something REALLY noteworthy!
I wish Mel Blanc was still here to teach the children.
Excellent! Seeing creativity from kids always makes a great day.
EJM - the perspective I have always gotten from RB is not to look at something the same way. This is not your CNN or MTV. It is not meant to be a polished daily news cast. RB is art, human rights, the internet, diversity…
Just my take on it.
EJM — I am willing to be convinced that RB is much worse than before the split, but you haven’t tried to support your claim.
Can you please give a couple of examples of past RB glory that you see as head and shoulders above its current content? Particularly from the first couple of months of RB’s existence?
If you liked this one, you should see “penciltopia” which the critic considers a true clay classic.
Critic and little critic were so motivated by this, that they bought some modeling clay and beads to make eyes and spent a few weekends with their digital camera to try it themselves. This is seriously cheap, creative entertainment, and doesn’t require much $ to have great results.
Andrew the claymation is good but the video showing Rep. Mark Foley using a computer and a web cam (while writing to an underage boy) over at Huffington Post is lots better. Here’s the link:

Hi Joanne!
“Star-craving mad”. Priceless.
Thank you RB for bringing us such entertainment and giving these amazingly talented kids (and a worthy program) worldwide exposure. I have a big smile on my face and a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I hope I am representing a new, growing viewership for RB - young, female, positive, appreciative of the talent and hard dedicated work that is RB. We love Joanne and we are crazy about SherngLee!
Hey, Bob-in-space is even a good Tennessee color.
Nice mandolin playing behind the pirates, too.
Thanks to the terrific claymationeers (and RB)!
The link on “Tennessee color” above shows up when I mouseover, but doesn’t register as “clickable.” Maybe my typo. It was supposed to go here: http://tinyurl.com/hxspp
That was AWESOME!!!!!!!!
“You should have an annual standing production offer open for these kids.” I agree. I’d like a follow-up interview too, personally. I’d love to hear more of what the kids have to say after having completed this wonderful project!
The low cost tech these days is awesome.
