    “Call Daddy ?

    - Daddy, can you help me like before ? I am in the shit in Iraq.

    - Son, I cannot anything for you, I am in retirement.”

A way could to be think before acting.

Try to find a consensus as recommended at UN in NY, before potentially studying other options. Not to act by thinking that you are the strongest,
most intelligent, by attacking in spite of the veto : “oil, oil, oil” & “wog, wog, wog”.

Now, the facts are there, it is necessary to assume.

    150 000 Iraqi civilian dead for USA/Iraq ( Minister for health )

    655 000 for “The Lancet” :
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_lancet

    More than 2300 US troops.

    God, have pity of him.

Pelosi is now President of the United States. Hmmm…….yes, that could work…I like it! Make it so number one.

  10. Joanne is still cute but the show has gone off the boil. The “who was born on this day ” part is just plain boring. But yeah…impeach Bush & Cheney - impeach the whole lot of them. Meanwhile the situation in Iraq gets worse daily.

  14. As we all know Democrats like to complain about things but then offer no solutions. But let’s just let that slide by.
    Let’s look at history:
In 1995 President Clinton sent troops into Bosnia to help keep the Dayton peace agreement. And when did we get to leave? December 2004. Are we out yet? The Washington Post article I found on the net was when the announcement that we were pulling out occured. Did we turn the protection of the country over to Bosnia (like the current plan is to turn Iraq over to Iraq when they are ready?) No we turned it over to the EU. So why do you Dems think we can get out of Iraq in 3 years when it took 9 to get out of Bosnia? Oh and in Iraq we got the top “most wanted” people. I don’t think the Bosnia top two were ever caught. We have a choice in the world either we let other countries kill themselves and their people, or we stand up for what is right and try to help the other people of the world have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people like we enjoy here in the USA.

  17. As we Republicans are tired of being lied to by the Democrats. We did not go into Iraq to “get the WMDs”, we went into Iraq to get the man who kept saying he had or was going to get the WMDs. Weapons do not kill people, the person behind them does.

BTW - UN Resolution 1441 November 8,2002 Authorizes UN Member States “to use all necessary means to uphold and implement resolution 660 and all subsequent relevant resolutions and to restore international peace and security in the area.”

…the most important is not that the cars were burning in the street, but rather WHO started these riots and WHY ?

A clue : this is not the young people in the guettos or the islamists as the US governmental propaganda (they were to know the truth) tried to activate in your brains.

A response which you can’t have at your level, even in your country…

  23. In France, we have a guy who is called Nicolas Sarkozy. He is a big friend of your president and his Mafia :

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarkozy

In our country, the majority does not love your president and his friends.

Including certain circumstances, Nicolas Sarkozy, in France, some call him “Sarkozy, the American”, being the Minister of Interior Department ( security, police, etc. ), it could have been found that 27 days of riots, was a good means to oblige him to resign.

We are like that in France, with a certain vision of the revolution (we have a history :).

    That’s it.

We like the bleeding edge never-been-seen-or-heard-of-before kind of news. Not 3 centuries old news. Yuk.

Didn’t like the oh so subtle attmept made in Drew’s comment to p3wn J.C. Keep the negativity to a minum please.

And the mentos thing, also old, already featured on your show a long time ago.

And the recap thing itself is just rehasing old stuff.

stop with the old old old stuff - or we’ll start calling you ‘old’ media.

Joanne did great with the speed reading bit though. Best part of the episode.

didn’t mind the politikal news this time around, good job of not flamebaiting.

    Drew, Joanne,

You bored me today! I came home from a long freakin day at work and expected to get a burst of energy, but “this day in history”, some wierd faces, some serene pictures, some fizzy coke, and some “yea Democrats, boo Republicans” just made it seem like I was back at work (but perhaps took a little too much cold medicine).

And worse…you started another “Democrats lie to Republicans”, “Republicans lie to Democrats” thing. I’m sitting here in the middle, and I get the feeling that BOTH the Democrats and the Republicans are lying to me.

I do give Nab credit for the Jedi squirrel thing…you should hire him.

First, have you ever in the past, or do you presently work with some guy named Egbert?Second question: have you in the past, or do you at the present time sometimes have the strange “urge” come across your mind to address any present or future son of yours by the name “John Connor?”If these questions seem unsettling to you Joanne, well, these kind of thoughts have been bothering me too. Can I suggest you call this number?Sarah—(I slap myself in the forehead now…) I mean, JOANNE, STAY WHERE YOU ARE! YOU ARE IN A PUBLIC PLACE, CORRECT? Stay calm, first of all. Joanne, I’ll try to get a squad car over there as fast as I can …! Just stay calm for heaven’s sake …! but it is YOU they want, I’m sure of it.Just stay where you are. I’ll be right there.

  44. One way I imagine to defeat Islamic thought is with rational thought. And I have given quite a bit of thought myself to this idea of squashing the completely asinine thoughts from Islamics frequently heard spouting their retarded thoughts about the Creator of the Universe. They throw stones at a pillar symbolically intending to offend the evil Satan. Islamics go to Mecca and walk round and around this square block of stone …, and other queer ritual activities or theirs in the belief that the Creator of the Universe, the Creator of the electron— try to grasp what It is that could make not one but zillions of electrons, this “thing” (Islamics call it Allah) then sustains, maintains the electron to do what it does, Islamics believe this God wants them to stick their butts in the air not once a day but five times a day, saying the same words over and over, again and again and again, the same words in prayer they said last year about this time of year. That queer book of theirs makes these “men” think they are so good and pleasing to the Creator of the electron by these almost idiotic behaviors. And I could for a long time give examples of Islamic lunacy but if I were to be speaking to an audience of Islamics I would have to take the time to sugar and spice my ideas, making the thoughts more palatable to the grassroot populace in Islamic lands, ie. I tend to think most of the adults in Islamic lands possess an elementary school level education. That queer book of theirs has to be placed into a category of irrational thought. The best and the brightest of Western minds should convene to highlight the achievements of the last five hundred years of Western civilization. These achievements then RocketBoomed over to Islamics who will hopefully respond by realizing no computer or telephone or television, the next great invention (eg. Mergatroid) to make the world a better place will not come from an Islamic mentality. That book truly turns and keeps their “men” retarded-like.And I ignore any ideas I may have at times for Western political machinery and people implementing these ideas of mine to bring about this revolution of thought, but several tens of millions of tax dollars funneled my way would certainly help to speed my plans and ideas towards fruition. If I myself had the resources of a President of the United States, or Bill Gates, Ted Turner with CNN is ideal actually (not too big, not too small an organization) to follow through with all I’m thinking and saying now.The Best of the West has to be force-fed to the people in that region.Imagine the conversation:”Omar, Akhbar, you didn’t hear the call to prayer?”"Uncle Mohammed, I don’t want to go to prayer service. I want to read my robotics book.” Brainwash those people for their own good. Doing it nice and slow, I guess that is the way to do it.I gotta go.

I think of what would my position be if this were happening in Colombia, and I have to say, that although Colombia is nothing near compared to Irak, so it’s difficoult to compare both scenarios, less say they were similar, I think I would opt for having the US Amry out. But I repeat, I’m not sure what would happen with an american invasion in Colombia, as the country, people and problems are very different to the ones Irak had/has.

Well, for the second week in a row, you attempted to alienate some of your audience by placing politics at the forefront. I started watching Rocketboom with Amanda Cogdon, because I could trust her to do a good show, and stay away from that crap. Yes, I am Republican. But unlike you, a British Citizen (whom I don’t even know has the right to choose elected leaders in this country), I do not hold you in contempt for liking the democrats. Nor did I gloat after the last elections. I have my own opinions about the President, and not all of them good, but…I keep them to myself and vote my conscious. Why, because I nearly died on three seperate occassions over a twenty year period, defending this countries right to chose their elected leaders. Choose on. I really wish we had a third party, but I digress. Anyway, here is to saying goodbye to what now amounts to another politcal show on the blog-o-sphere. Gone are the carefree days of simple getting out and reporting about what is on the street. Thanks alot Ms. Colan, for turning me off to Rocketboom…
