Speaking of t-shirts…
You forgot to mention this sick little item….

Wow, I really liked that commercial.
I thought the same thing about the hair. Maybe she went on a date with Gaylor Focker and she let him do to her what he did with the cat! With all the flinging about in the chair, I almost expect to see you all bandaged up again like you were around last halloween. Be careful there. Very fun show today. Good ad. Nice improvements on the back end.
I typically make negative comments on here. But I should balance the scales. I really appreciate Amanda’s acting ability and camera presence. She’s excellent. Obviously, it’s why I watch every day. If you’ve never tried to do what she does (I have), it’s harder and takes much more preparation than you’d think. Kudos!
Her hair was certainly darker today. I don’t know about that little curved bit of a bang on the left side of her face today. She should just tie that back with the rest, IMO.
I LOVED the new commercial. After Mon and Tue, I had decided to just quit watching when the commercial started. But today it was entertaining and creative. Smart move. Well done.
Almost forgot. Amanda complained about big T-Shirt sizes. But did she ever say what size she wanted people to send in?
I actually liked the previous Earthlink bits better. I’d actually like to see Manda do a direct head on pitch similar to the Excedrin commercials where they just tell you what it is, what it does and that it is hands down better than anything else out there. No gags, no gimmicks, just truth.
Not to be a total geek, but shouldn’t that be 8 megaBIT per second in the ad? Great show btw!
re: rb sposorship, you should have a title to that page. google doesn’t like pages with no title. also, why did you use an image, and not html, for the content?
Wow, so much for citizen sponsorship of citizen journalism.
Have you seen the prices on the sponsorship page? I can sponsor 12 HOURS of radio programming at my local NPR member station for less than what it would cost to have Rocketboom simply insert my video clip on post roll at the 100K-300K business level.
Granted, I could reach an infinitely higher amount of people by sponsoring Rocketboom, so I suppose there’s some justification for the higher ad-buy.
Cool T-shirt. It looks familiar, but I can’t remember where I first saw it.
You’re just jinxing yourself with that hairy lip / bad bleach thing.
I took a sec to check out the t-shirt entries and was very, very, impressed. A lot of time and talent on that page.
@Jerkylicker: I picked up on that too.

I didn’t know Tyra Banks had a show. I don’t know who Tyra Banks is. I guess I could go hit up wikipedia to find out. ;-)
Lately, it seems the server is incredibly slow. Before, there was a short buffer stage, but everything played well. Now, I have to wait almost 5 minutes for the episode to download because of the speed. Anyone else having this problem?
Is that Steve Garfield’s voice in the Earthlink commercial?
if many of the shirts were too large, what size is appropriate? French-cut is a given but Manda doesn’t strike me as the “extra-extra small” type, and she’s deffinately not the XXL (except maybe the “American Apparel’s” XXL), so is she the small, medium, or large kind of grrl?

boo
Boom heard across the URLS…
Has that phrase been used yet? Enjoyed it…
Amanda’s t-shirt sums up what I believe:
PEACE, LOVE, HAPPINESS.
of course it helps to have some shekels to compliment the whole shebang!
Cheers.
Golly! 8 MegaBYTES per second?! Sign me up;)
Ouch.

Hey, Amanda, meet you in London (I wish)! Great show today. Tee shirt submissions are awesome. Can’t wait for the winner to be chosen so I can get one. I want the little red rocket to be on it somewhere. Thought the ad today was good, too.
The commerciel today was finally up to the usual rocketboom standard.
A little thought:
Rocketboom used to be far more intimate and as much i love the show, it has spun out of control.
All the money you have recieved from investors have made you lacy and less creative. It seems as though it’s all about the money now.
I enjoy many of your commerciels, but the problem is that they have removed your focus from the real show.
We all enjoy you in the newsroom, but for alot of us the truth is that you are best when you are performing interviews with interesting people. Rocketboom is now an online powerhouse and it is time to stop settling for unreasonable offers from the advertising industry.
Increase the number of rocketboom viewers first and then afterwards, advertisers will be knocking on your door.
I think t-shirt design #11 should be the winner. kudos to whoever did that. Nice Job
Hey, Maybe if Tshirt 11 does win then with any luck they might even get the chance to erect Amanda as a statue as they did with Elizabeth Montgomery, here in Downtown Salem. http://www.bewitched.net/statue6.htm
Yeah, Series 11 is the logo-to-go! The Pulp Fiction stuff is great too, and has some alternate use as well.
I’m an art director and designer and I wish I didn’t have these loomnig deadlines because I want to contribute too…but it’ll be hard to beat Series 11.
I think that you could use the “corporate logo” for all official stuff, but use the Bewitching style for apparel and fun stuff.
The Pulp Fiction and Series 11 stuff will be on Cafe Press pretty soon, don’t y’all think?
Suggestion: RB should kick back $0.25 each item sold back to the designer. But s/he should not be paid any other way. Treat it like stock photo licensing–”some” rights reserved–and a per-use fee. A quarter isn’t much to pay/piece at a retail of $15-30/item, and could very well add up to a few thousand dollars after a while–and that’s what those designs are worth! Easily!
Well, that’s my twenty-five cents anyway.
…Amanda and RocketBoom are still awsome… I watch every chance I get!
Would be great to have you herein Orlando, home of JAB (that’s me), Micky Mouse, and more toll highways you can shake fruit at! If you plan on traveling I-4 wear extra padding though. Those seniors are crazier then escaped convicts fresh after their daily shots!
Earthlink section of today’s video crashed Firefox 1.5.0.3. Eh, I only had three tabs open anyway.
heh.. eat money t-shirt didn’t fit..
ethically or physically?

Amanda,
You are losing your touch… give us something to watch, girl?
Are you running out of material. Your earlier shows were better!
Please keep going, nevertheless.
Hi,
I enjoy your show. Very innovative. Say, you may find my friend Randy Gordon’s Book “BusiBuzz” worth a look and mention.
Check out this video interview:

Hi Juan,
Yes. That’s me on the phone.
Oops. Hang on, I’ve got another call.
Bye bye.
Amanda,
I also only have L size T-shirts and also don’t have a jpeg. Can I send in the large sample anyway? You have so many, what’s one more? You don’t have to actually wear it; simply hold it up and show both sides! :-) One side? Anyway, I enjoy every show you do, the old and the new!
Sorry the Action Philosopher shirt didn’t fit - we will be printing the design on women’s fitted tees soon - I’ll be sure to send you one.
