But I think your wrong in suggesting what ABC World News did is “commonplace”. They directly contrasted themselves with Rocketboom, their competition, and inserted slander. That’s on par with Bill O’Reilly’s most hideous moments, which are too common, but not “commonplace”.
Plus, just because something is common, doesn’t make it OK. Weather it’s common or not it’s still slanderous, still inappropriate. Saying that it is “commonplace†is an argument for why we might be numb to the unfairness, not an argument for why their slander is fair.
