Is it just me or was there not a pronouncement at one point that RB never contemplated life without Amanda prior to her departure video of July 5?

Either this is Drew’s “I never had sexual relations with that woman!” moment, or RB has one helluva farm team.
Scuse me Mister (?), but what exactly is this field report supposed to prove? That Drew always wanted to get rid of Amanda? Don’t think so. Everybody can make a field report. Does this mean that all field reporters are future Rocketboom hosts? Hardly… Amanda wanted to go to Hollywood and produce two shows a week on her own. Drew said No, which he was perfectly entitled to do since he owns 51 percent of Rocketboom. Amanda left. In my opinion it’s pretty much her own fault.
“Conspiracy” Theorists are at it again?
I agree with Bobby California in the fact that the video does not prove a single thing. First, the problems at Rocketboom were gestated for sometime (they were not the result of an instantaneous action and/or reaction) and finally exploded into the public way. While Drew, Amanda and the others involved were negociating, it is obvious that the ones who wanted to keep doing the show from NY in the way they have done so far, have to be prepared for the worst scenario (which eventually happened, that’s called prevention, and tested possible replacements (how many is something we do not know), but it doesn’t mean Drew wanted to get Amanda out. What’s wrong with that?
Amanda exercised her own legitimate right to pursue her dreams (Hollywood opportunities or a solo career in the videoblogging world, who knows? Let’s see…), and Drew acted consequently to keep the show alive, which is in his best interest.
Honestly, I think many of us want to put this very far behind and keep enjoying the show. What’s the purpose of all of these complaints about the past events? If someone does not enjoy the show anymore, she/he is free to search anywhere else. There are a lot of Internet Shows out there suitable for every taste.
I can’t believe this!!!! Amanda is trying to make something out of nothing… Drew, I wish you would’ve mentioned that we held auditions for possible new shows/corespondents and that’s how we found Joanne.
Our first talent ad was placed on on May 4th, our second June 19th. We included craigslist.org and shootingpeople.com. Amanda knew we were looking for people, because, we told her and she thought it was a great idea, way before she started becoming flaky! Almost every decision made that delt with RB was passed through her. I’d e-mail, or call, before getting a go-ahead.
Also, including the word “Colonascopy” is just a symbol of how immature she’s becoming at this point. I’m sorry this is happening Drew… It won’t look good to many other people except her die-hard fans. She’s really giving you GOOD press with this one because her recent blog post is so immature. She looks like the ass, not you…

Drew quit making shit up you fairy. Its kinda awesome that the comments were in the hundreds when all the controversy was going down. But now, that we got the show up and running again you cant even get as much as 20 comments so you gotta come up with this back handed sleezeball bullshit?

It was kinda obvious to me without an official statement. But hey, clarification never hurts, and I agree with you.

She already changed that and she was quoting a message from one of her long time readers (quite impulsive in quoting, but has to change somethings later. Ah..adaptation maneuvers consequence of public reactions), so this expression was not hers, to be fair. The question, however, is if this reader expected or authorized her/his communication to be put on public exposure. These communications are by all means, private (they have not the consideration of public, like posting here on a message board), and are based on trust between the two who are communicating. If the reader did not want his mail to be written in a public fashion, then it is clearly a break of trust, previously existent or future (how come would i trust someone who makes public my private correspondance? Well I, for one, could not) That is really inmature and a very wrong step, and above all, quite unethical, if you ask me.
Anyway this reader, when using the word “Colanoscopy” is a bit despective. Is Joanne’s fault everything happened?. No way, but seems Amanda’s die hard fans would like to see this way, without looking with objective eyes. Sometimes the battle seems to be AC vs JC. Oh well….
This was a great eppisode. JC would have made a great addition to AC. But that is not the way things worked out.
Anyways now all I want is a Nathan’s hot dog!! Gee guys thanks ;-) Are you getting any promotional fees from Nathans!

Thanks for sharing the archive. I think the hotdog diet might help you lose weight at the expense of several other health problems. I love eating contests either way!
I don’t know the details of the whole Amanda / RB split, but it really seems to me like a lot of people don’t appreciate how important Amanda was to the show.
I’d be really curious to see before and after numbers of the Rocketboom views.
