Rocketboom viewers - be sure you click on the link for the Coldplay CD story. The linked blog, by one “Mr. Riff” of India has a really cool graphic design w/ transparent scrolling areas, etc.
I believe my teenage son would say, “w00t”, or something like that.

So.. could I buy a special edition of the CD with more rights so I’m allowed to play it in my car (Not that I want to)? There’s a great opportunity for the guys in marketing in it.
“Madonna - Greatest Hits III - Special Extended Edition” - Play in up to 2 different CD-players.
While I’m not defending what the record label did… the CD “usage” sheet doesn’t say “you cannot play in a car stereo” it says that it may not be compatible in all car stereos.
Once again the best for last with the Rocket/Camera. I once tried that with my MiniDV and a cluster of helium filled baloons for an
aerial view of my neighborhood.

my highlight today was Amanda adjusting her non-existent glasses for the intellectually challenging ozone story.

I hope that was a wink to all of us out here who miss those glasses so dearly…

Hey RB and Amanda…I do like RB…In say a four minute clip, one story will capture my attention…and what was the story of the day…That Coldgay CD has rules! We better start waking up people!!! I mean, in today’s world why should we pay for shizzit when we can download it for free off the net? I feel sorry for the azzholez who buy any CDs…okay not really since they could have downloaded the same shizzit for free! And now they want to restrict how we use their CD that we did pay for? I say Burn everything for free…oh and screw any rich artist crying, “Oh, no I am only a millionaire now, if they would stop burning my shizzit I would be a billionaire”…Screw Off you Metallicas and Coldgays! How much more money could you possibly want? Long Live Napster, Limewire, and so on! These artists should simply be happy with the millions they amass and the sheer fact that their artistry is out there! But us people are supposed to feel sorry for the poor artists who waste their money they made sniffing coke or shooting heroin while living the posh lifestyles! Screw that! BURN BURN BURN! I hate Coldgay, but now just so I can feel better I am gonna burn their CD…anyone want a copy? Just Email me!

A newbie quesion. How does rocketboom make money? I see no blatant advertising. Well, there was that one episode that featured Firefox. RSS? Is that it? New York aint cheep..gotta pay the rent somehow. And I am guessing the talent doesnt come cheep either. Is there a rocketboom faq link?

It is worth tuning in to the newest Rocketboom just to chuckle over the memory of those 5 greatest hits you still see at the bottom of my screen: Hybrid, Beep Beep, Misc. Miller Lite, and the Russian stomp. All bring a smile just thinking how good they all were. Plus the Christmas one which fell off yesterday. Bravo

CES is great this year. I saw Bill Gates. He is much more handsome in person. I like him.
There are lots of nice music and tv goodies this year.
I saw Daryl McBride from SCO, he is a lot fatter than he looks in print.
The video screens being displayed are phenominal.
I almost bumped into Tom Brokaw but then realized it was Andy Rooney…lay off the Irish Whiskey next time.
Anyway it has been a lot of fun.

1) Virgin’s restrictions for the Coldplay disc were for overseas, not here;
2) its not that you are not allowed to play the CD in car stereos or DVD players; Rather, the DRM crippled CD might not work in those devices.
