Thanks for causing me to increase my internet addiction! I love this site! Now I have to check it everyday *sigh*
keep it up!
nice network anchor spoof….the boom has it all over cable and network news
That’s a few blocks from me, going over for lunch to check it out.
Amanda,
First all, priceless episode. Hilarious.
Secondly,
Not much has changed inregards to how silly broadcast news can be. It still has that lingering element of CHEESE!
I see it all the time at my station in Houston.
Great Job!
excellent! just excellent! a great and hillarious ending there.
amanda:
happy new year! the news anchor gag was great. i recant my previous qvc comment. keep up the good work.
The news anchor bit made me laugh out loud.
Happy New Year.
Rocketboom,
I liked the chit-chat capping the show. I pictured you talking to a grey haired sportscaster with glasses. Your discussion included his weekend boat trip and how his children got him a tie he’ll never wear. You then chuckled and told him how disappointed your were of Gene Shallit’s review of “Rumor Has It” then inisted on still seeing it. Right then, the weather man said a one-liner, the sportscaster sighed, and the outro rolled.
funny ending. you should do that more often.
Wow, Amanda can act.
Off course DB, Amanda is a great actress.
PulsePoint sounds like fun :D
Great to say the least…Amanda, you are getting hilarious…more, more, this is what we need small segments of juicy staff. Way to go…the insurrection has started; we can do anything we want…the universe is the sky…great job Rocketboom…
Hi,
New format? News format? I like it when you are clicky-clicky Amanda.
Dear Amanda,
Now you’ve hit the big time! Once you start having phoney, end of broadcast conversations, the sky is the limit.
The current champion of the end-of-broadcast conversation is Alex Trebek. He has the ability to create the illusion, with his EOBCs, that he is a charming, interesting, and extreamly knowledgeable man. You have the wit and charm to dislodge the champ. Go for it!
Amanda successfully captured that one aspect of newscasters I had never noticed before…
They all have fused spines.
I like your , hair pulled back, black shirt, Natasha from KGB look.
Another hair-up day!! Hooray!! Thanks so much Amanda. Not quite as delicious as the previous hair-up day, but it’s understood you were going for a theme (severe news anchorwoman). May I suggest another theme? Perky, sexy “Entertainment Tonight”-style anchorwoman–maybe even standing on the set! Now THAT would be one Megalicious CongBabe…yummm.
What a ham you are!
Rocketboom is growing by leaps and bounds with Amanda talents there is no stopping observing.
WE should just enjoy as much as we can, everyday if is possible, this has been happening and it WILL!
Haha that was a great spoof. The conversation was funny! KUTGW!
TeraLink Was Here! ;-)
OK. I was flashing back to “Cool Hand Luke” because the alleged news broadcast music was originally heard in the movie I just mentioned.
I am grateful that the interviewee didn’t use the non-word, ‘orientated’ when he was describing pulse points.
That is all…
Amanda, Drew, and Steve,
Woah! I never knew these things existed. I hope this can take off, it seems really interesting. 50MB wi-fi could totally revolutionize the whole world-wide communication thing…
And what was with the Andy Warhol thing… I’m scared…
And you should show us your co-workers you have conversations without actually speaking with. I’d really like to see what they have to say.
12 years old and… you know the rest,
David
jaja what a change, amanda almost scared me at first in that black straight suit she appeared to give bad news, but then I learned something about the natural of boston (Puritan, conservative with a vigorous, theocratic intellectual life) and I realized she acted very well that character
but I lost the audio when she spoke to the people behind the scenes :) jaja
w00T!!!! My name is TridenT! Rock on… :D
the rb boom is funny…
but
UT got lucky
713 in direct effect (sorry big12)
lived up to the hype
First thought: Wow, look at “the woman dressed like the bad guys in Star Trek.”
But also: I wish I had a pulse point! I wonder what I would present there about, well, me. Although I don’t like the thought of people thinking: “Oh I get it, I can do that here.” … too flat a joke? Sorry ;oD
I like to support the “Standing-in-the-Set”-Show-idea. How far could you get the camera backwards?
(Yes, it is a quote.)
