Personally, what’s disturbing me most ist the fact that the igantic font in the middle of the desert actually spells a complete word in my native language German: “Luecke” means gap or breach or vacancy. Which is a rather weird thing to paint all over the landscape…

Oh, and camel wrestling rules! And oz: That language was very likely Arabic, or at least one its many dialects, because some form of this language is spoken in most of the Muslim world from Northern Africa all the way through to Iraq and Iran.

What does that mean when you throw your notes at us? Do you not appreciate instant on and the like?
Thanks Daniel-I kind of guessed it was Arabic (somehow I don’t see scandinavians engaging in camel wrestling)…what I really want to know is WHAT they’re saying…are they calling the camels by they’re given name (Rusty, Spot, etc) or some sort of stage name (The Desert Behmouth, The Hulking Humpster, etc)? Are the camels performing some standard camel wresting move, like a neck lock, or a hump hold? Pehaps the men outside the ring are the managers or trainers…are they shouting instructions to their camels? Or perhaps they are hurling insults at the opposing camel. What are the rules? Is anything illegal? Amanda…get on this please.

No, please we do not want “danish cartoons” on Rocketboom. I would hate to see on CNN, hordes burning Rocketboom t-shirts or even worse, burning Amanda in efigy! Please only make oblique references to the “Prophet M……d”.
On a lighter note, I think camel wrestling should be an Olympic event. As long as the judging is not done by figure-skating judges, the results should be fair.
And finally thanks for the link to It’s JerryTime!. I had not seen that before and I think it is brilliant. I am very impressed with some of the vlogs out now and love the creativity.

I totally ‘phoned it in today too. No-one noticed. That’s the difference between excellent vlogcasting and indifferent clerking. I might just have received a marriage proposal, discovered I’m pregnant, or bumped into a old flame on the street. Who knows?

As a sound engineer and regular viewer of Rocketboom; can you please buy some acoustic tiles for the Rocketboom studio as the room reflections make your show sound like amateur night, it’s such an easy problem to fix ..
Alternatively hang some heavy curtains around the room ..
Deaden those walls people , it sounds terrible ..

Just curious what y’all plan to do if the auction ends and the reserve still isn’t met?
I work at a not-for-profit research institute (www.swri.edu), and tried to convince the “powers that be” that y’all are someplace we should try advertising. Good grief, we have the lead mission scientist for the Pluto probe, we’re the place where they tested the shuttle wings to confirm the foam theory, we do stuff for the automotive industry and for large government software systems, and no one’s ever heard of us. Guess why, right? :-)
