Very nice, Joanne! It’s nice to see a creative person so comfortable in their own skin. Simon does have that cultivated accent, but he reminded me more of a theatre person than anything else. Some of my friends went into window dressing long ago, and I could see them having a drink with Simon.
Merci,
Milt
Hey, great work - loved to see it and hear about the process.
good job!

What a nice guy.
I seen that guy on TV at VH1 …
I enjoy Rocketboom. Hence let me suggest an addition to the motto or slogan to consider including with the banner for the Rocketboom webpage. Rocketboom2.0Places to go, people to see, things to do …daily with Joanne Maybe insert the three words New York City at the beginning, or somewhere, I don’t know. Just a suggestion that came to me recently. I offer it for free for use by Rocketboom et al., no strings attached.
But those damn dots …! They like …? they like follow me around wherever I go. I can’t figure out …? how to lose them … sometimes.
I appreciate that Warhol’s work consisted of satirizing the cultural focus on brands, but that was always the result of big business’s meddling with the culture anyway, thus Warhol’s work incorrectly attributes brand obsession to consumers, who are merely manipulated. Warhol missed the point.
It shows Warhol’s greatness that we are still arguing over his intentions, and whether he missed whatever point you feel is the most important. While everyone’s interpretation adds to our appreciation, obviously neither one of you has exclusive franchise over his meaning, and your only mistake would be to pretend that you do.
Viva Andy!
Thanks for another great year Drew. I love the addition of Joanne and hope she stays on for many more. RB’s been through a lot of changes over the past few years (especially since July). Can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year.
I wish more people would write in to the comments page. It’s always the same three or for guys writing back and forth to themselves. I wish they’d just get a room and stop taking up the whole column.
Drew we need our own column, this one isn’t long enough for SteveL. Everytime he wants to post our bouncers rough him up, break his keyboard and rip out his hardrive. Get to the back of the line SteveL. This column ain’t big enough for the 5 of us.
Yes, Simon Doonan is a Brit, born Reading, England in 1952
Hey Kam, Santa man brought you a pretty cool gift dude.
Maybe we can fly around together, here’s what I got.

(and it seats 4, so “the other 3″ can join us as we sing ” Sky Pilot”.
Sorry guys, no offence. Most of the time your comments are well thought out and relevant. I guess I’m just nostalgic for the old days when the RB comments page averaged several hundred comments a day. I remember one day Amanda sat in her chair for three minutes and said nothing. That got around three hundred comments. And they were good comments. Now we’re told that there are twice as many viewers, 300,000, and yet there are only a fraction of the number of comments. And,as I said, most of those comments come from the same FOUR(I’ve been practicing)people over and over again.
It’s not that I don’t appreciate your comments, it’s just that the numbers don’t add up.
Thanks Nab, but I don’t need the link. I was there.
Well,
I’ve been watching the show everyday since the last 4 or 5 months. I haven’t miss one. I love it, i think it’s great. But i don’t see why everybody should take the time to leave a comment everyday. As for myself i never leave some, i find it kinda pointless. If you’re looking for company and you absolutly need to discuss RB with someone here’s a suggestion: get a friend who also watch RB call him, go for a coffee, enjoy a long and realistic relationship.
Ben, from Montreal
Andrew / Joanne,
I must admit I was sceptical about the 2.0 transition but I must admit Rocketboom has grown in professionality and class far beyond my expectations.
Happy holidays, hope to see lots more from both of you next year.
Well, it’s Thursday on the East coast, so that exclusive isn’t working out as planned. Guess Buddha Boy is the real deal and isn’t gushing all over Joanne who’s trying to interview him. Well, his eyes are closed so he has no clue what he’s missing. Good luck with The Return of Buddha Boy interview. Will there be sub-titles? I know Joanne speaks Hindi as well…

I think Amanda took the dippers in off to the old media (y’know, the one she said she’d never work for)
As for my little provincial city Oop North (where the weather fits the foggy and cold English stereotype) Fenwick have gone with a Gulliver’s Travels theme, the least Christamssy one since a bunch of aliens invaded the window and made off with a bunch of Toon tops after they heard news of the Holy Shearer scoring a goal on Boxing Day …or something.
It didn’t go down well, up here in Newcastle people seem to prefer tradition when it comes to Fenwick’s window.

ah- a true creative director, making counterculture accessible to the public… it was a very informative interview :)
