These guys should play an infinite concert and see if they can come up with “Hamlet”.
My Dad had one of those blue Smith Coronas they were using. That’s a flippin’ sweet instrument…
Jerry Lewis would be proud.

I think these guys are on the ground floor of something that’s heading for the sub-basement.
Here’s the original B&W version

I hope this publicity doesn’t aggravate their ugly rivalry with the adding machine symphony.
Hey B-Man,
Those are great Jerry Lewis clips.

Joanne was too funny when she caught that box!!
OK these guys are about as self absorbed as the Jedi knight guy who was on RB a few weeks ago.
But still very watchable.
That was not so good.
Why don’t they do something worthwhile like, I dunno’, scratch vinyl records on a turntable.
I’m really not impressed so much with the Boston Typrewriter Orchestra. At one point someone commented on the fact that they’re not just a “drum circle”, but from what I saw it looked exactly like a high school drum line “hacking” before rehersal in drum circle fashion. Tapping out beats on some unique piece of antiquated office equipment just doesn’t impress after seeing numerous groups through the nation pound on non-musical items to produce music.
What would have impressed me is if they actually HAD been typing out complex sentences or paragraphs while performing. The real challenge (and the OMG! I have to go see these guys motivation) would be to hear and watch them perform, and then be able to purchase or take home the transcript of what they typed during the performance. Alright, so maybe I’m over analyzing, but the typewriter orchestra as is isn’t doing much to excite me. Snore……
Oh, you kids. I laughed out loud when the guy said he didn’t know the roller came out and could be replaced with something else.
Some of us old folks from the stone age could have told them that if they’d only asked. We learned to type on manual Royals and it took a lot of hard pounding to get anything written. But I actually remember increasing the speed of my touch typing when I did to a rhythm.
So my heart’s with these guys. Glad to see a superseded technology put to a fun, new use.
Sexy Time.
Wow, I really enjoyed this! Must go to goodwill and get me a typewriter now!
Geez, this is so PC! What’s wrong with hitting mice with mallets, like back in the day? Tradition!
Bonsoir,
Paris will be always Paris.
I have just came back home.
Passing by the small grocery of the corner to take my tomato soup, I was pleased to meet… Adriana Karembeu (this is not the first time); She lives with her sister near.
Cool, nice ; she returned from horse(wo)manship (with its riding crop :).
Bye bye…

Max — Are you sure that if you had a popular website you would want people to go another site instead? And never tell you there was something about your site they didn’t like?
Free advice is easily ignored. I expect the RB crew will follow the tap of their own typewriter, regardless of what kind of noise is coming from the Greek chorus.
I enjoyed the typewriter orchestra well enough, Max. I guess it’s better than throwing the machines into a landfill.
I’m not sold on the notion that it’s terribly creative or original. Compare it to one of its antecedents:

Pretty stoopid

Drew I’m surprised you didn’t mention that Rocketboom is nominated for best video blog or that we should vote.
Have something against this particular award?
http://2006.weblogawards.org/2006/12/best_video_blog.php
well I cast my vote for RB even though one of your European shrinks has me on the couch night and day.
must be the time difference
Voting ends December 15th!!!
Oh one other thing, you are allowed to vote each day!
Only 52 votes for RB?
350,000 viewers?
Something doesn’t jive here.
Oh well, just found out about it, so let the voting begin everyone.
You know, we say a thing in Europe, in France. I also think that is the case for you ( in another form ? ):
“There is only the truth which hurtsâ€Â
Simple, but revealing.

Wow, that’s a pretty cool idea! Amazing to see how people use different objects to make music.
