  1. Now that’s what makes Rocketboom Rocketboom. Highlighting the uniqueness of New York. But what about some poppin’ and lockin’ from Joanne? The caterpillar? At least a little robot?

  3. Great show! I agree with Bubba. And I think the girls aren’t trying to ‘be boys’, they’re dancing and showing their strength in a previously male-dominated dance form. That’s yummy.

  4. Bonjour,

following the today video, I wish to introduce a basic reflexion on RB 2.0.

Writing to you from France (cf old Europe), I knew RB. by the means of the Wired magazine.

With Amanda and now Joanne, I always had with the spirit that the discussion thread of this vlog could be the echo of the Net and overall of all that touches with new technologies and associated.

For approximately two weeks, the comments have also made of it share, we started to find this RB. spirit. Today, I personally do not find any link with the evoked one.

    To follow,

    S.

  7. 6535KB /sec! absolutely crystal clear. i like that!

in the event of things being too colorful in the future, wmp9 users can adjust saturation by clicking on now playing options. Enhancements> Video Settings> adjust saturation to -25 more or less and Joanne looks perfect! Hmm, not one blade of grass today.

  10. Ahhh, Friday. Great report from my old neighborhood…Lincoln Center will always have a special place in my heart.

I agree that Joanne is at her best when not behind the desk. She’s so good when dealing one-on-one with people. Keep up the great work, Joanne.

  14. Whether you’re out in the field or behind the desk, Joanne, you’re always delightful and always up to the task at hand.

Anyone who says otherwise is missing something or simply wallowing in a narcissistic fit of adolescent contrarianism.

    Obviously, I hate hip-hop.

    Great acrobats though.

When will they dance to real music? hehe

  27. Women are, always have been, and always will be, first and foremost, judged primarily based on the size of their breasts ,slimness of waste, and cuteness of face (see RB hosts)

anything else is nice, but everyone only pretends its important, and it doesnt really count for much. Sorta just like this episode.

  29. wow Paul, I thought my comment was right up to the line of racism yet with a hint of humor.

you managed to go way beyond, without the humor.

a quick news search indicates that the event proceeded without incident (of course, it was Lincoln Center ya prick).

like many events, there were a majority of talented black people on stage performing and a lot of pasty, untalented white people admiring.

that this observational demographic might extend to cyberspace was the basis of my previous comment.

  30. Say what you may about Amanda, her animated personality was unique to the point that she could make the banal seem fun and interesting.

Joanne is exceedingly charming, and when allowed to “perform” in skits and such, is both hilarious and entertaining.

But this insistence in reducing her to a B-stringer reporter in the field comes off more like some NYC public access channel.

    *yawn* Really.

Furthermore, as with yesterday’s program, by covering topics like the brat-eating contest and the Lieberman web crash, RB is not only covering matter reported by MSM outlets like MSNBC’s “The Most” with Alison Stewart, it is not doing it nearly as well and is not being flattered by the comparison.

Here’s hoping RB can again find a unique voice, and make better use of Joanne’s obvious talents.

  39. Drew was kind enough to write me and explain my previous critical post had been accidentally deleted while attempting to delete a pornographic post.

I was initially taken aback with the thought that Drew, who usually exhibits admirable courage in weathering criticism, was perhaps changing his approach.

Happily, that is not the case.

So allow me to change my snarky prologue from rather than observing Drew is now using the thought police as a model, he continues to use the thoughtful police model. :-)

  40. Please, no more personal, sexist comments about Joanne or what women are like or such. Also let’s celebrate diversity–we are all in this together, in this country and in the world. Rocketboom tries to extend itself to locations far and near. Drew is to be congratulated for that.
