Nice. I'm glad you reported on the $2 million comma (there's some good analysis of the mistake here: http://tinyurl.com/jrzgd).

Please get a new backdrop for Joanne. Her you should keep.

So good to watch this show. Nobody works in France in August (and in July) (and in December), so we have to cross the virtualocean (i'm a poet) to find a good vlog.

    Hay houses. I love it.

For the wall behind Joanne. I used to have a map of the moon on the ceiling of my teenage bedroom.

Rocketboom? Out of this world? Map of the moon? Hmmm.

Comments should be given at least 7 second delay before you delete them otherwise hire a mouse that sporadically does cartwheels ocassionally running over a button loaded with cheese crumbs and inadvertently deletes posted comments. There are many PC mice out there looking for work and would be glad to accomodate.

You can't beat the cheat who's out to delete instead of greet the man on the street sitting on the subway seat eating a meringue treat while winding his way to his penthouse suite looking kinda downbeat in this dead heat even though once he was part of the executive elite and posted RB comments in a way that were very discreet (comma) completey without conceit which is no mean feat (coma) only to have Drew treat him like a piece of raw meat and delete the poor sot's post from his living room suite.

(a semi colan is worth £20)

You guys come across this one before ?

A signwriter finishes painting a sign for a pub called the Horse and Cart, and it reads:
    HorseandCart
The publican (the owner) say's to the sign writer:

"The space between Horse and and, and and, and Cart is too small."
    REDOIT.

    Grammar's cool.

    Nice show.

Excellent to see an item from the Canadian Maritimes, and about a crucial comma to boot! Outstanding!

By the way, the name of the comma-attentive company, Aliant, is pronounced a-LIE-ent, not ALIEN-t.

This is but one more sign that RBII is better than ever.

If the map needs changing here are two suggestions...
    1) there are quite a few interesting attempts to visually render a map of the internet out there which could be used... ?
    2) I've seen an Australian map which subverts the ususal US/Eurocentric view of the world and shows the view from down under, ie the map is the other way up. (Well, there's a lot to be said for looking at the world anew.)

DodgeBall is a bad, bad, bad, very bad, incredibly bad idea.

A friend of mine meeting another friend of mine w/out me being there, orchestrating the meeting, or even knowing about it, is a clear and utter violation of an unwritten social rule engrained into united states culture, that goes something like: "don't be a stalker!!"

i have a brilliant idea to gift you, you and you for the background......*suspense*...... put a theater fashion curtain in red/violet!!!!! and sometimes a hand could pass joanne "something", it will add mystery and sophistication.........or perhaps leave the map but give it a more tridimentional effect, i say to look as a mix between a map an a globe, put some pillows under the map.....that will be also sexy.

Dear Rocketboom. Thanks for kicking @$$ again. As far as a backdrop - there's a cool poster/print out there called "The Brilliant Earth" (had it up in my cube until I got layed off a few weeks back). It's a sattelite image of the earth at night, and would look really cool behind joanne.

How about if semi-offensive comments ("hate mail", hurtful to show or crew) and very stupid comments ("I'm first!") get moved into a separate page at rocketboom.org? Then the curious people can still see them. The very gross comments can still be deleted (in my opinion), with an explanation like "obscene comment deleted".

I live in Nova Scotia and I didn't even hear about the $2m comma. Utility poles are a big deal here since we have almost no top soil. It was all pushed out to sea during the last ice age, around 10 000 years ago. We can't bury electrical and fiber-optic line because there's only one foot of dirt before you hit bedrock. Not nearly enough to clear the 1 meter frost depth in the winter.

"Joanne has no personality"? Hey, that's a mean thing to say. Try to think of what you are saying and what it means to the person who reads it. Joanne is trying her best to be the RB anchor and deserves our respect. Not personal attacks. She has been sincere and genuine and that should be clear. So let's start acting like a community instead of a feuding family throwing hurt around, okay?

Drew. What a joker! I keep getting deleted! What did I say that was so offensive? The fact that your credibility has now come into question because everyone now knows you delete unfavorable comments. What a joke!
So when there is only 30 comments in a day, how many negative ones got deleted? 70? 50? who knows. All I know is that I have been deleted 5 times in the last few weeks. And like I said before, it makes you wonder about the positive ones. Did Drew write most of those?

I think all of today's comments should be Deleted.

If I'm too late with this post I think this casual Friday should be named

    Official Deletion Day.

I think Joanne should hit the streets and ask the following:

    "Have you ever been deleted?"

Should get some blank stares and some pretty hilarious responses.

She could followup to those who don't understand the questin: "Have you ever commented in a blog or vlog only to be deleted? How did it make you feel?

Their you go ....what an excellent show idea.
