Why is there an “heart-mark”on Tokyo,on the map behind Amanda?
For international mapping & route planning, I swear by ViaMichelin at http://www.viamichelin.com.
I enjoyed the Andy Samberg references.
Wow that was a quick takedown. I thought the inellectuals were going to be taking over. (an idiot snuck on earlier and was nabbed big time)
So, ‘Manda definitely knows maps. She features one as a co-star every day. Her word is gospel on the topic.
Regarding that driving video, I wonder wha they do when a train decides to come down those tracks on the bottem right.
And though the Seattle turban thing was interesting they failed to expalin what these mean as did another Seattle publication that didn’t have a South Park moment:

Hi, Amanda. Hi, Drew.
That’s pretty much all I have to say today. :-)
Oh, thanks for another great show. I wonder if we could get some arboreal smack down going…The Sign Eating Tree vs The Kite Eating Tree.
Ok, I should have stopped at Hi.
Giganotosaurus ranks up there with “Jumbo Shrimp”.
Very funny cultural faux pax … “whip them out of their ‘fanny packs’”.
I learned a long time ago that the British/Aussies/etc use the term “fanny” for the “front” not the “back”.
Way to go Amanda!
Amanda you may said the RB International Coverage is mediocre all you want, but now thanks to RB, I know the different kind of turbans!
Believe me, that is something I never thought I wanted to know.
Cheers!
Another greata show….
thanks a million…
You guys are segue royalty.

I went to the Indian traffic intersection website and had to pull myself away. It’s like watching the “Falling sand game” you had on several weeks ago.
I think I found the secret though. Drive a bus.
RocketBoom, Amanda: Still awsome! Thanks guys…
People collide so much in Mexico city because they’re in such a hurry to get…here.
Ja! Next time I’m in Colombia I’ll make a few shots of the traffic there, because let me tell you, its pretty similar to the one in India.
Wonder if there’s a webcam for the streets of Taiwan; over there, they don’t even drive on one side of the road a lot of times - the lines on the road are really considered guidelines. And those dudes that travel across traffic even have a term: “snake” drivers.
Amanda,
Loved the show today and especially the traffic clip, that was insane! You looked shocked and you’re in New York so it’s gotta be bad. Thank you so much for wearing our Boutique Cafe tee on today’s show - we’ve now set up our “Shrine to Manda” on the BC site (pop on by).
Thanks for making Boutique Cafe look so good. All your Rocketboomers are dropping by today, they’re a wild bunch!
Cheers,
Daria
Oh, so cool!! My pal Daria from Boutique Cafe just gave me a nudge to come check out today’s show. Love the tee…but I guess you would expect that since I made it;) Thanks for the fun opportunity for us to share Boutique Cafe with your viewers!!
Amy
Something to ponder……
Do you think the Giganotosaurus ever did the whirling dervish head spin a la Amanda. C? And if so, how many trees would it have knocked down in the process?
Too bad no Google maps at the time, then we’d know the answer or we can extrapolate Amanda’s head size vs. Giganotosaurus and do a swoosh simulation on Nasa’s new supercomputer Dingo.
By the by, I can use the B word anytime cause I’m B-man.
Map and driving directions coverage in cities in developping countries is just a fantasy. I’m from Mexico City and believe me you would need a super computer only to find out a possible way from point a to point b. It would have to follow recommendations from experienced Taxi Drivers, otherwise is just impossible.
In other countries though, it would be even more difficult. The system would have to have a recognition algorithm to decode something like “the pink house beside the big tree near the fountain close to the crossing of street X and street Y.
Estimated traveling time? Don’t even think about it, no genius has been born yet to rationalize the state of mind of daring drivers according to the time of the day.
Estimated traveling distance?
It would have to include parameters such as “safest route”, “90 kidnapping-proof” “best possible route with less that 5 traffic violations” etc..
aehm..hate this techniksnobism -
can not see your semiprofientertitithing
because of the old machine here.
may others too.
plaese make your stuff compatible to lotek.
canyou?
thankyou!
goodbye. bnd
amanda=absolutly gourgeous, as always…and please, keep up with the cotton based advertising,, FANTASTIC!!!
:-)
Thanks for the mention. Keep up the great work! ;)
Amanda is very cute looking but irritating as hell, she is just not funny……
Ok. Ms. Congdon, I am new to the rocketboom phenomenon. And I generally like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so correct me if I’m wrong about this: After watching the April 19 installation, I am utterly convinced that you are the love child of Stephen Colbert and Amanda Bines. Now, considering Amanda Bines is YOUNGER than you, don’t you think that’s a little shameful? Who ripped off whom with this comic delivery? One guess.
Your looking at the map?
Fanny Pack???
Haaaa, only a granola munching Berkenstocks with socks wearing tree hugging hippy plotting the demise of Buttons and Nubile would have use or lack of fashion sense to wear such a thing.
