Hmmm…so that explains why there is no one else here in the office with me today. Heh.
Actually, only Good Friday is a holiday throughout Canada. Easter Monday is a bank holiday here, so the public sector is closed everywhere but in some provinces the private sector is open for business. I’m in Ontario and we are definitely working on Monday!
Well, goes to show not everything in Wikipedia is 100% accurate. But that’s part of the wiki fun, isn’t it?
I remember being in Florida one Easter weekend and not putting money in the parking meter on Good Friday because it said payment wasn’t needed on holidays. We had no idea people were actually *working*. Doh! We weren’t too happy about the subsequent parking ticket.

There have been quite a few bad rocketboom episodes lately.
Also, the first second or two of each episode is missing on my tivo episodes, so that it starts midway through the first word or two.

As Connie pointed out, we Canadians aren’t really “lucky bums” because most of us don’t actually get Easter Monday off. Wikipedia’s article was technically correct but misleading. Yes, it’s a federal holiday, but it’s not a federal *statutory* holiday, meaning that federal employees get the day off but most other people don’t. I’ve modified the Wikipedia article.

If Amanda wears eye-glasses or contact lens, then please ask her to consult with an eye professional because it seems she and I might be both sharing the same problem.
On April 11, 2006’s rocket boom, I saw her left eye much bigger than her right eye. It could mean that she is relying on her left eye more for her eyesight and less on her right. If this problem continues, then her right eye vision would degrade as time progresses.
Please pass this important information to her.

I just viewed Rocketboom’s 4/11/06 episode and did not see a difference in Amanda’s eye or pupil size. She does not appear to have anisocoria. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003314.htm
Even if she did have anisocoria (different size pupils) it could just be congenital and not a problem. Amanda, if there is a difference in your pupil size and you were that way when you were younger, it’s not much to worry about.
