That makes me want an ipod. Good show.
Too bad I’ll have to wait till Monday to get an MP3 player for my wedding anniversary… yeah, my wife rocks! But I’ve configured my account already :)
Great show i love that t-shirt you had on.

i’m always getting podcasts and this helps out .. .
Nice shirt. Very subtle.
Only completely not.
Podcastready seems an useful resource, I like it!
I’m having a USB port transplanted into the my left ear lobe and my belly button will be turned into an easy-to-use selector dial, as long as no lint gets in there.

Hey Amanda and Andrew:
Big congrats on the Webby nominations!
A thought: I have a feeling that many if not most of you hundreds of thousands of viewers don’t read the comments and are not aware that Webby winners are determined by open internet voting (if I have the story straight). Anyone can register to vote. Perhaps you could post a link and a ” WEBBYVOTE HERE” right on your page. Also, stating the categories would be helpful since once you reach the voting page it’s hard to find RB unless you know where to look.
I voted. I want to see you win. You deserve it.
Don’t be shy. John Edwards would be proud of you for getting out the vote.
LET’S GO PEOPLE!
Get those Webby votes in today! Can’t let Manda down!
Rocketboom is trailing badly in the “Blog-Culture/Personal” category: a mere 4% to 58% leader Cute Overload, a truly horrible site full of sickeningly sweet pics of cuddly baby animals.
By the way, you can easily vote for Rocketboom using the “vote for a site” drop-down menu on the left side of the ballot. Now, let’s go people!
Way cool dude!
did he say we go over their server in order to download onto our iPods? They see what people load onto to their players? That can’t be, I must of not have been listening. That would be completely wierd if true.
What is the motivation for such reports? Are they plugs or simply sampling the space out there?
w00t sandra! Does Diddy’s policy on vote or die pertain to the Webbys as well? I hope not.
Just voted…
Here’s my 2 cents: I think VLOGS should have their own Awards
The VLOGGIES
I don’t think it’s fair that multi-million dollar ad agncies Like Satchi & Snatchi or companies like Google & Toyota should be allowed to compete with the likes of a Rocketboom.
The fact that you guys got 2 nominations says a lot, but it’s like mixing apples and oranges… don’t know quite how to explain it.
…….anyway you got my 2 votes
Rocketboom
The vloggiest of them all
There doesn’t seem to be a Webby category for “best t-shirt product placement”! A blatent attempt to deny RB it’s rightful award!
;)
I can’t see using anything but iPods and iTunes. I load up my ipod once or twice a week with podcasts for my commute. Its pretty easy to do. But I guess there is addtional ways to innovate.
Vote TWICE for Rocketboom.
RB is in 2 Webby Award categories. So, we can vote twice, yeah.
TWO Categories-
1: Best Use of Video or Moving Image
2: Blog - Culture/Personal nominee results
On http://peoplesvoice.webbyawards.com/login.mhtml
log in and use the “Site Name” srcoll bar to find RB.
To answer my previous speculation, yes, it seems every subscription goes over their server. I did not see a privacy policy (they say “coming soon”). I prefer the “drudgery” of loading me player meself over delivering me preferences to strangers.
Looks VERY PRACTICAL!!!!
And very user-friendly… nice!
Forget the the Webbies. How about the “bommers”? Or “boomerrangs” (rang=rank in German)? We vote on our favorite rocketboom episode of the last year.
I have a very important question!!!
In these comments, some people have their name appear in grey, and some people’s names appear in blue.
Why is that? Do you have to do something special to get your name to appear in blue?
Does it mean that RB thinks your special? If so, I want my name in blue!!
The more I think about it, the more I want it! AAAH!
Ok… never mind.
Just SECONDS after making my “blue name” post, I realized the truth…
blue names are for those that give a URL.
It’s no longer a mystery! It’s even better because I figured out all by myself! :) Of course, it’s also bad because everyone else probably already knew, and now I just look stupid…
4 mouse clicks + 25 key strokes or 60 seconds, whichever comes first.
That’s all a prole from the masses can tolerate before saying “Hey, you’re good w computers, right?”
Your mileage may vary.
Nice ep today. And you don’t need no stinkin’ award to tell you you’re all the schizzle when you already know it, as I expect you do.
word
I vaguely recall Amanda contributing to Cute Overload’s popularity some time ago…Ahhhhhhh. Ooooooooh, etc. No one can gush like our girl. It must have worked.
Then again, it should be told that Cute Overload has resorted to sexism to hold their audience with a page called “Cats and Racks.” Yes that’s right. Pussy cats stuck in amongst the pyramids in a way that would embarass the sphinx. Maybe RB can fight fire with fire. Lord knows Cute Overload would never expect a few stealth missles as incoming. But, then again I applaud RB for taking the highroad when they could easily have triumphed in this effort by taking the cheap and tawdry path now on display at Cute Overload. What some people will do to win?

Tycobrahe:
I was afraid everyone here was irony challenged. Thanks for proving me wrong!
The Mac loader for the application is in pre-beta and can be downloaded directly from the beta site: http://www.snowbugs.com. It is, however, still very buggy.
We should have that cleaned up and available as a full beta from the main site within a week.
