Hummm…t-shirt advertising. What will they think of next>…Great show.
Very interesting. Sure gives you a different perspective on our world.

I want to learn how to sound like that language just to deal with phone solicitors. It will screw them up. But then on second hand, they may be calling from Nairobi and actually want ot carry on a conversation!
Ruud’s stories are great. By far my favorite of the RB field corresondents.
Love the T-shirts, Amanda.
Nothing against the Nairobi stock exchange, but here’s something each and every one of you needs to be aware of. Pass it on to family & friends.
LOOSE CHANGE — THE TRUE STORY ABOUT 9/11

Loose Change is about 1 hour and a half so get some popcorn and some tylenol…
wow imagine the chaos you could cause on the Nairobi exchange with only 47 companies listed and $25,000 US…
…time to smell the tulips!
Kate Winkle’s weekly wrap wrealy wonderfull.
Bring back Kate Winkle
Love these reports. Behold the power of the Internet!
Due to Tivo, you are now living large on my television. Life is good.
what an interesting field trip. let’s should check back in 6 months.
All of your african field reports are very intersting and this was no exception. But please, stop t-shirt placement!
P. S.: Even more user generated chevy tahoe commercials! Good.I’m sure I’m going to have fun watching them.
Love the interesting cross-cultural segments.
Do you think there’s a dental veneer stock that the stock broker could invest in?
Much love,
Jen in sunny, Colorado
I dunno, I think amanda’s product placement shirts work ok. Like the one from last friday. That was pretty good. I encourage this new direction. Keep it up.
Well, I found this report fascinating. Africa is rich beyond measure, but too many of its leaders for too many years have squandered its riches on their edifice complexes, on their “unofficial” armies, on themselves. An Africa that can make its own deals, that doesn’t have to be dependent on the rest of the world, is the Africa we need for the future.
do you the ufo stuff ?
For heavens sake, where are your advertisements? You need some crap up on the sides to help commercialize your site. Get some google ads up there.
If we’re anything in America we’re commercial! We have billboards on our huge interstate highways from sea to shining sea.
BTW good luck with your blog. I come from Louisiana, in case you don’t know we have a lot of Cajun French here. Lately there’s been less said about their French heritage, they just say Cajun now. Our countries still have much in common and I’m glad you’re trying to point that out.
James.
Incredible podcast from France

Hey Sir Retard,
The government has a record of the post you just posted. B-lieve it.
So did you buy a suit?
Hey Amanda, You are so much fun to watch and listen to. Thanks for a fun end to each day.. I hope your next shirt says, “I (heart) Brad!” ~a faithful viewer
Dems can only think about Blue. Maybe it is time that they have a plan so that thinking about Blue is more than just a dream.
So today while I was listening to Today.. I figured i would have to find a new newsshow to watch… I think rocketboom will be it.
On a sidenote, :| I like the t-shirts! It’s kind of like a guessing game.. which shirt will she be wearing today?!
Is Ruud speaking Afrikaan? Just curious?
Dammit, if you’re going to encode the video in widescreen, then make the final video an actual widescreen resolution! You’ve got your video 320 pixels wide, and the actual CONTENT is 180 pixels tall, yet the video is 240 pixels tall, for a whopping 60 vertical pixels of wasted blank space. Just encode the video at 320×180! Then those of us with widescreen displays can actually take advantage of them!
See http://www.hurtley.org/rb.jpg for a screen cap of what RB looks like full screen on my computer (downrezzed to 240 pixels tall…)
(I’m going to post this every day until you either respond to this message, or you fix your video.)
Is it just me or are you getting prettyer every day ?
Corey,
Ruud is speaking Dutch.
why does rb have non-conventional back-forward links straddling the date? how many man-hours have been wasted when viewers inevitably pause for a second or two while trying to figure out those arrows? and the new “future” and “past” legends only serve to draw more unnecessary attention to an interface element that in a normal design would be almost invisible.
@Marius:
Yeah, you’re right. The reporter’s speaking Dutch, with a slight Rotterdam accent :)
@Rick:
That’s rather common in The Netherlands, as quotes are usually subtitled.
I am an oldtime viewer of rocketboom and feel great that it is becoming better than ever. I would like to correct some things in this wonderful report. I am Kenyan and an investor in the NSE and would like to say that average daily turnover is more like $5,000,000 than $25,000.(src: http://www.nationmedia.com/dailynation/nmgbusiness.asp?categoryid=3) Still small compared to elsewhere but quite a decent feat that is bound to grow since the public is highly sensitized after the successful KenGen IPO.
